As a mum with a one and two year old I’m sure you can appreciate how precious sleep is so when I was sent The Limited Addition Nurturing Sleep Gift Set from Tea & Tonic I could not wait to try it. It arrived beautifully packaged in a white box tied with white ribbon. The box itself is stunning and could definitely be reused as a decorative storage box. When I opened the box the aromas from the products were spa like. The set I received included their Meadows Secret Cleansing Balm, Organic Hemp Cleansing Cloth, Inviting Sleep Halen Mon Bath Salts and their Golden Milk Inviting Sleep Wellness Tea Bags.

What did I think of the set?

I started with the Meadows Secret Cleansing Balm which smelt incredible, I can’t quiet put my finger on what exactly it smells like but imagine a citrus spa and you’re on the right path. It’s a large pot and a little goes along way, its quite thick and oily which I’m obsessed with as I suffer terribly with dry skin, however for those with oily skin do not be put off as this product is brilliant for dissolving not only your make up but excess oil and impurities.

I first tried this with a full face of make up on, I massaged it over my face and eyes which its surprisingly gentle on and then ran the Organic Hemp Cloth under warm water and my make up melted away, leaving my skin feeling soft and supple. I continued to use this product every night, not to remove my make up although it did so well, I felt it was wasted as make up remover so continued to use my standard make up remover and then cleanse with this after. With it being quite heavy I definitely felt it was more of a night time product yet as I suffer with dry skin around my nose I thought I would add this into my morning routine to see if it helped. I started using it every morning in the shower massaging it into my face wiping away with the cleansing cloth and my skin felt so hydrated. My foundation then went on seamlessly almost like it’s the perfect primer and my dry skin has massively minimized.

Now on to the Inviting Sleep Halen Mon Bath Salts, a bath is pure luxury for me as its very rare I get the opportunity to bathe alone so this was truly a treat for me. As I have little time to pamper these days, I started running my bath, threw the salts in and came down to do the dishes (glamorous I know). Anyway, when I came upstairs the scent was just heavenly, I can see why it’s called Inviting Sleep as I was greeted with the smell of lavender, if I closed my eyes and ignored the array of bath toys it was like stepping into an actual spa. This does come with a heavy price tag however the salts are hand-harvested from the Queens coastline using pure charcoal filtered sea water of Anglesey infused with essential oils. However, everything about these products is nothing but luxurious and believe me I felt like a queen soaking in my hot bath. I skipped the tea tonight for my bed which I’m putting down to the soothing salts.

The Golden Milk Inviting Sleep Wellness Tea Bags is a blend of Rooibos, turmeric, linden & lavender with super herbs to help balance stress & support a healthy immune system. Now I must admit unless its Yorkshire tea it’s not for me, so I was dubious about these. But I’m willing to try anything that promotes a peaceful night’s sleep with a creamy, smooth and aromatic flavour. It states to allow to brew for 3 minutes and that you can drink as it is, add milk if desired or for extra creaminess infuse directly into hot milk. I tried it initially as it was as the scents were quite strong and I never add milk to a flavoured tea but the taste of it was not for me, I then added milk which to my surprise turned it into a very yellow brew. I think if you like flavoured teas this would be lovely however I would definitely stick to my Yorkshire tea with two sugars!
