We were contacted by Creative Nature Superfoods to review some of their products and these arrived in a lovely box all intact and ready to be savoured. They sent us a Chia & Chocolate Chip Brownie Mix, A variety of four Flapjacks (Raw Cacao, Peanut Protein, Goji Goodness and Salted Caramel) as well as a can of Goji Berries. Do read on where we will share what we thought about these products.
Goji Berries have been eaten by the Chinese for thousands of years and has been quite recently considered a superfood. Mainly sourced from China, Creative Nature gets their supply from Ningxia. These raw super berries as the best anti-oxidants and can be eaten raw, added to your soups or even baked goods. As I type this post, my super fussy son who is very picky eating his greens is happily munching on a few goji berries which I find really amusing as its so nutritious. This natural berries is gluten free, dairy free and soy free as well.
Personally, this was my favourite item from Creative Nature, the Chia & Cacao Chocolate Chip Brownie Mix. It easily made a tray of about 20 brownies. It was simpleto make this Brownie as the instructions were clearly written. Even someone who was hopeless in baking could have made this without any problem. The recipe only required me to add eggs, butter and vanilla into the mix (for Vegans, you could add Chia Seeds, water, dairy free spread and vanilla).
As an add on I had the choice to add extra 100g melted chocolates to make it more indulgent or 5g chillies to turn the heat up or add 100g of vegan marshmellows to mellow it out. Because I love chocolate, I wanted to make it richer so I added in the extra melted chocolate.
The brownie turned out really nice, I personally love the after church due to the chia seeds. It tasted yummy and the kids ate it. I shared this with friends and most of them loved it, I just had one comment that it was sweet. I checked and found out that coconut sugar and unrefined cane sugar was used in the mix.
We were also given a selection of four flapjacks which included Raw Cacao Flapjack which was gluten free, dairy free, wheat and nut free. It had no added sugar or syrup and had only 125 calories. The next was Peanut Protein, this was gluten, dairy, wheat and soya free. It has 7g of protein and no addictives. Salted Caramel Flapjack had 22% protein and was gluten free, dairy free, wheat free as well as nut free. Finally the last Flapjack was Goji Goodness which was only 118 calories with no sweeteners and had only 1g of fat. It was also gluten free, dairy free, wheat free, nut free and soya free. We each had our own preference when it came to our favourites, I preferred the Peanut Protein as I love nuts, my daughter who is 7 year-old loved the berry flavour of the Goji Goodness while my 4 year-old son loved the Raw Cacao as well as the Salted Caramel Flapjacks. These are great power bars to have with you especially if you have allergies and want something healthy at the same time.
Thank you Creative Nature for the products, we enjoyed trying it out and hope you all have enjoyed reading what we thought about the products as well.
