Summer School Holiday is about to start, and if you’re wondering how you are going to keep the kids occupied, here are some suggestions on activities you can do with the family which takes place at Lower Drayton Farm. The Farm will be open daily during the Summer School holidays ie July 31 to September 1.
Summer School Holiday Special
From July 24 to 28, Lower Drayton Farm will be offering loads of outdoor family activities for the whole family from meeting friendly animals to meet, woodland walk, nature trail, farm trailer rides and adventure playground but the Maize Maze won’t be open yet. Middle of Nowhere Music Festival
Staffordshire’s Blues, Rock & Country event for everyone comes to the farm from July 28 to 30. There will be lots of grea bands playing to keep you entertained, the line-up includes The Taskers, Too Petty, Lost The Plot, Fleetwood Bac on Friday. The Angels With Dirty Faces, The Blue Horizon, The Goat Roper Rodeo Band, The Zeppelin 3, Black Rose (Thin Lizzy Tribute), Gaz Brookfield, Glam 45, Jump the Shark on Saturday. Jake Henry Band, The Runawayz, Smashed, Dan Baird & Homemade Sin, The Middle of Nowhere Jam Band on Sunday. There will be family fun farm, stalls, children’s craft activities, Maize Maze and more all weekend long to keep the little ones entertained. ‘Baah Wars’ Maize Maze Launch Weekend
This year Lower Drayton Farm will be celebrating 40 years of the ultimate Sci-Fi saga with a Millennium Falcon Maize Maze on July 29 and 30. Whether you stay true to the ‘force’ to guide you or draw on the dark side to complete your quest, this is a must for Star Wars fans of all ages with characters to meet all weekend and the chance to pick up souvenir photos when you’ve conquered the maze.
‘Feel the force’ Thursdays (Aug 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31)
This is the one for all the die-hard Star Wars fans! Take on the ‘Baah Wars’ challenge to liberate a cloned army of sheep that, controlled by the evil Emperor and his sidekick Bark Vader, have taken over the maze. You’ll also get to meet characters and have souvenir photos taken when you’ve completed the Millennium Falcon Maize Maze. On ‘Feel the force’ Thursdays – get in for half price if you dress in Star Wars costume!
