If you are wondering what to do during the half term October school holidays with your children then look no further. There will be lots of fun and free-ky things to do at the intu Potteries Shopping Centrein Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. Children will be able to take part in six free activities such as creepy colouring, the treatment tomb, Ali Cadabra’s magic workshop and pumpkin carving classes. The shopping centre will also be running “big trick or treat” event for families on Sunday, 29 October.

When is the Halloween activities at intu Potteries?

The Halloween activities start from from 21 to 29 October from 11am to 4pm and ends with a spook-tacular trick or treat event on the last day which is the Sunday from 10.30am to 4.30pm. Children are invited to dress up in fancy costume and collect treats from any of the centre’s participating shops. Children can also discover their cackling witches name, learn how to ride a broomstick, carve a pumpkin and take part in intu’s big trick.

Are there any family Halloween activities?

There will also be family activities such as the Wendy Witch’s trail, families would need to find all the ingredients around the centre, upon completion, they’ll receive a witch’s hat from the customer services desk. (whilst stocks last).

Who is hosting the event?

The trick or treat event is being hosted by intu Potteries in partnership with some of its top shops and restaurants who will display carved pumpkins in their windows to show they are taking part. Special buckets will be available for trick or treaters to collect from the customer service desk. For finding the pumpkins, customers will be rewarded with a trick or treat from each shop or restaurant. Halloween fancy dress is welcomed but not essential.

 

Window Display Competition

A number of stores will be decorating and carving a pumpkin to place in their window display. Customers can then vote for their favourite pumpkin on the intu Potteries Facebook page throughout the Halloween Half Term Week. The winner with the most likes will win a £100 intu Gift Card for their store.

21 to 23 October, 11am to 4pm Creepy colouring Get creepy and creative at our Halloween-themed colouring stations.

24 October, 11am to 4pm

 

The treatment tomb

Gear up for scary season with spooky face-painting, glitter tattoos and costume making classes.

25 October, 11am to 4pm Ali Cadabra’s magic workshop Discover your cackling witch name, learn new broomstick skills and create your own magic potion

26 October, 11am to 4pm Pumpkin carving class Perfect your pumpkin carving skills just in time for Halloween.

27 to 29 October Creepy colouring Get creepy and creative at our Halloween-themed colouring stations.

29 October, 10.30am to 4.30pm The big trick or treat Collect your bucket from the customer services desk on the upper mall and spot the stickers in the store windows to be rewarded with a trick or treat. Fancy dress is optional.

All activities are free, with no booking required and are open to all ages, but are particularly suitable for children in pre-school and early years.
