Let’s face it, when you have the travel bug you love nothing more than knowing what travel plans you have coming up, and ensuring that all the necessary details are in place to make it what you hope it to be. January is an ideal time to start thinking bout the next twelve months. Working out what time you can take away from your career or planning around the family to ensure you get those all-important travel breaks away booked in. It’s also good to revisit that bucket list, tick off any places you have done and seek inspiration for some destinations to consider. So I thought I would share with you some inspiration of my own with some of the travel destinations you could think about this year.
Canada is such a diverse country and often portrayed as one of the best countries to live in, so there is no surprise that it should certainly be a country that you should add to your bucket list, if it isn’t already featured already. The capital Ottawa has much to offer, but there are some great other locations to enjoy including Vancouver, Toronto and the smaller town of Waterloo. There are some amazing accommodation options to consider from the Delta Hotels Waterloo to five star luxury offerings in Toronto or Vancouver. There is also a diverse amount activities you can do in Canada such as skiing, hiking or water sports including boating or canoeing. It is definitely a place to consider.
Thailand is a great country to visit at different points of the year, especially if you are looking for a little luxury or that white sandy beach vacation. Of course, you have different options to consider. You can relax on one of the many beautiful islands including Koh Samui or Koh Phangan or live it up in the vibrant and historic city of Bangkok. Asia has many other delights to offer in the vicinity, but Thailand is certainly one of the most popular destinations and can offer something for everyone.
If you fancy something a little further afield then New Zealand is a great destination to consider for a vacation this year. There are two islands, North and South, and both offer some great sights to see. From mountainous regions, amazing blue lakes and green landscapes there is much to see and do. One of the most popular attractions would be the sets of the Lord Of The Rings films.
Finally, Iceland could be a great destination for your 2018 itinerary, and not only just for the most spectacular light show in the sky which is the Northern Lights, but it also offers breathtaking scenery and a diverse terrain. The capital city of Reykjavik is vibrant and bustling with restaurants and bars, but heading out will enable you to witness the rugged landscape. It could certainly be a real different vacation to have, and definitely one for the winter months.
I hope that this has offered you some inspiration for your 2018 travel plans.
