Take in a show

When in London, one of the most popular things to do would be to see a famous show on the west end. With fabulous theatres and many amazing shows to pick from including one of the funniest shows around The Book Of Mormon, there really is no better way to spend your time. Book a meatiness performance or settle in for the evening.

Visit some of the famous museums

ANother great thing to spend your days would be to spend some time perusing the famous museums. The Natural History Museum, one’s dedicated to transport or to science, there is something for everyone. Even art galleries like the Tate Modern will have you feeling inspired and thinking. Many showcase different exhibits at different times of the year so it is always worth checking out the website first to see what is on to help you decide where best to go.

Enjoy the royal residencies

I don’t think any visit to London would be complete without a little look at some of the famous royal residencies including Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace. Especially with all of the attention the royals have been getting in terms of the recent royal wedding and baby news, it is a great way to spend some time and enjoy the British Monarchy in all its glory. You could even visit the latest addition to the Kensington Palace gardens where there is a memorial garden for Princess Diana.

Live like a local and enjoy the markets and atmosphere

Some people love to visit a place and actually experience it from a different side. You may be staying self catering in an airbnb apartment and like the idea of cooking up an evening meal, so what better way to source your ingredients than at the local markets. Portobello Road and Camden Market are two of the famous ones, and not only will you find stalls selling ingredients, but street food vendors and other stalls selling all sorts of strange and wonderful things.

See it from a height

Finally, why not see the beautiful skyline of London from a height and thanks to two of the main attractions you can see it in all of its glory. The London Eye and The Shard are both attractions that will take you up high, enabling you to see London from a different perspective. Some of these attractions can also have their ticket prices combined with others in the city.

I hope that some of these suggestions have you inspired for your next trip to London.
