The summer is starting to leave us behind as the autumn will soon gradually begin to kick in. This can be rather bittersweet because the summer allows us to show off what we’ve been working so hard for, getting into a bikini and wearing shorts in public without feeling super self-conscious – not to mention the wonderful heat that we were able to bask in along the way. Having said that, we now have a chance for things to calm down a little and get nice and cosy again in time for winter.
Fashion changes rather drastically depending on the seasons, both largely influenced by the weather, and also the colours that change and start to surround us. For example, now that autumn is almost upon us, you will notice the colours going deeper and darker. You will start to see a lot more burgundies and plum purples, forest greens, charcoal greys, and warm mochas. You will also see a change in the kind of accessories people will be wearing.
Here are some things to watch out for.
Jewellery tends to become more extravagant as it brings more life to a simple outfit, which essentially is fun to do because you can change the whole idea just by whether you pair it up with some chunky drop earrings and a few bangles, or even rings to stack along your fingers. Even the watches you wear have more of a meaning depending on where you shop. If you like the designer spectrum of things, then have a look at some Armani watches from Watches2U to see what tickles your fancy.
Hats may be a must-have depending on just how cold the temperature decides to go, but not only that, the wind will start picking up if it hasn’t already, and that can be a nuisance on the ears, so a hat goes hand in hand to protect them. There are so many options to choose from, be it from a knitted beanie, to an eskimo hat. It all depends on the style you want to go with and how it’ll piece together with your clothes. But don’t be afraid of making a statement with a bold pop of colour.
This may seem a little odd, but if you know anything about fashion, then you’ll know how much use a belt can actually have. It isn’t just about holding your jeans up anymore. You can use them to break up a dress by pulling it up around your waist and creating a divide. Or you can even get super creative and turn it into a bracelet with a few cuts and snips. You don’t even have to wear them done up – you can just let them hang through a loophole to give off that grungy vibe.
Now you have some ideas to get you thinking, have a look to see what’s lying in the back of your closet, you may just find a treasure chest of goodies to play around with.
