Bing’s Birthday ! at The Lowry Theatre

[Ad-gifted] Join Bing and his friends Sula, Pando, Coco, Amma and of course Flop as they get ready to celebrate his special day in the brand-new live stage show, Bing’s Birthday! at The Lowry Theatre in Salford Quays. Danielle Booker reviews.

“Round the corner not far away…” Bing is celebrating his 3rd birthday on stage at The Lowry Theatre.

Bing’s Birthday! is a brand-new live stage show. Our four-year-old daughter is a big fan of the CBeebies series and was amazed to see her favourite characters brought to life with such wonderful puppetry.

The talented puppeteers, dressed in black, fade into the background and allow your little ones to see Bing and his friends – plus the ever-caring Amma and Flop – realised on stage.

What did we think of the show?

For fans of the TV show, there are lots of familiar bits in the stage show that they will love, including the words said by Flop at the start and end of every episode. The stage is set as Bing’s home and his local playground. The live show is made up of lots of bits from different episodes. And at the end Bing summarises what he’s learnt from the show, as he does in the episodes.

Just like the series, the show is gentle and promotes learning and resilience. It is very interactive with lots of fun and catchy songs, opportunities to sing-along and get up and dance, and joining in with counting.

Bing’s Birthday! is a fun-filled family show that’s perfect for little ones. Bing is a preschool bunny, and I would say the show, like the series, is also best suited to preschoolers and their families.

“It’s a Bing thing!”

I like that it’s just under an hour with no intermission. I know a lot of people like/appreciate an intermisison but I’m not one of them. This looks really cute.

A very reasonably priced show! I find these ones for younger kids do better without a break. Sounds like a good time!

Agree, especially for very little kids as the duration is just right that they don’t get bored
