Sambucol Kids Immuno Liquid Black Elderberry Vitamins

Heading back to school and the changing weather from the warm summertime to wet and colder months of Autumn only means that children will be more prone to illness, bugs and cold. As parents of two young kids who have just started their school term, we try our best to minimise this by ensuring that they are dressed according to the weather and ensure that they are taking the right vitamins to help build their immune systems.  It was just the right time that we were contacted by the team at Sambucol to feature Sambucol Immuno Forte and Sambucol Kids which is made with Black Elderberry on our blog to share with our readers are are mostly parents themselves. So if you are wondering how you can help your kids or even help build your immune system up in time for the wet and cold season, then read on.

Sambucol Liquid Black Elderberry Vitamins for Kids

Sambucol Immuno Forte

We were told that the Sambucol Immuno Forte is their best-selling formulation for all the whole family.  This came in a 120ml bottle consisting of a non-drowsy syrup made with Immuno Forte, Vitamin C and Zinc to help build immunity assistance for children from the ages of 3 onwards. This food supplement can also be taken by adults but the dosage slightly differs. Made from Black Elderberries, which contains naturally occurring flavonoids, this helps to contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. The best part about this is that is available in various formats such as capsules as well as pastilles, there is a sugar-free version as well.  The vitamins are suitable for vegans and vegetarians, its free from artificial colours and sweeteners and free from Gluten & Yeast. We (Both myself and my kids) tried this and the flavour was nice and it tasted berryish .  I found that it was easy to consume it in the morning and it was not too sweet or sickly.  Taking this bottle was easier as all of us did not need to be taking different types of vitamins (which tends to happen in our household as our kids have some cheables while I take tablets), so its less space consuming in the medicine basket.  I personally would have preferred to take capsule so might go looking for the similar version in capsule form but my kids preferred the liquid version.

Sambucol Vitamin for Kids

The Sambucol Vitamin for Kids came in a 120ml bottle specially created with children in mind. Consisting of Black Elderberries and Vitamin C with no artificial colours or flavours, this great tasting syrup is suitable for kids from as young as 1+ to 12. Sambucol is rich in antioxidants known as anthocyanins, derived from black elderberries, well known for their immune health benefits. Influenza viruses replicate themselves by entering the cells’ membrane and spread throughout the body. The Antivirin mode of action works by coating these viruses and limiting their ability to penetrate and infect healthy cells.  As a result, viruses such as flu, are unable to replicate. The body’s white blood cells are then able to ingest the infected cells, effectively removing the virus from the body. This is legally safe for children and this helps protection of cells from oxidative stress. These vitamins are suitable for vegans and vegetarians and they are free from artificial colours and sweeteners and finally are also free from gluten and yeast.  I gave this to both my son and daughter and my son preferred it better to my daughter. I found this easy to give to them as it came with a measuring cup. 5ml for my son and 10ml for my daughter. Again, they drank it after breakfast without any hassle.

What did we think?

We were glad to give this a go as we know for a fact that Elderberries have been used for centuries as a natural remedy and having it readily available in easy packaging was a plus for us. We were told that the Sambucol Black Elderberries are proven to help beat school bugs which were a big plus sign for us as heading back to school would also mean that our kids would come back with all sorts of bugs which they have caught from others kids who have just come back from their holidays. Both my kids have been taking this for weeks now, and so far they have been germ-free (touch wood). We will definitely be finishing both the bottles and getting our next bottle from the local retail shops, I will have to look for the capsule version as I prefer tablets to liquid form.

Where can you get yourself these Sambucol Vitamins?

Sambucol is available from major retail shops such as Boots, Holland & Barrett, Tesco, Waitrose, Lloyds Pharmacy, Amazon UK, Superdrug, Ocado, Chemistdirect and independent health stores and pharmacies.

How much do these Sambucol Vitamins cost?

The Sambucol Immuno Forte retails for £9.99 while Sambucol Kids retails for £8.99

I definitely think I would prefer a tablet form to a liquid, considering my littlest currently has a cough it might be something to look in to.

These sound like some great vitamins for kids! I think sometimes we all need a bit of a top up of them and having something that is nice to taste while getting them in is a must.

Exactly as kids, sometimes they dont eat a lot / or all of their vegetables and fruits so they need extra supplements to keep them healthy
