Tom Gates Live on Stage at Crewe Lyceum Theatre

The award-winning TOM GATES series of books are coming to the stage of Crewe Lyceum Theatre in Cheshire for the very first time as part of a year-long UK tour. The producers behind the Olivier award nominated Gangsta Granny and the celebrated Horrible Histories stage shows have teamed up with acclaimed author and illustrator Liz Pichon to create a brand-new story exclusively for the stage. Tom’s fans in Crewe, Cheshire can catch up with him on from Wednesday, 27 February to Saturday, 2 March 2019.

The show follows Tom as he tries to keep out of trouble while things go increasingly wrong at home and school. It features favourite characters from the stories including Tom’s best friends Derek and Norman and their band Dogzombies. It’s not easy to impress Amy Porter and many Marcus Meldew is doing his best to disrupt things while their teacher Mr Fullerman keeps his beady eye on them all. Things aren’t made easier when his grandparents – The Fossils – announce a big surprise and his Mum, Dad and sister Delia are doing everything to make his life difficult, which means Tom will need all the help he can get to save the day!

About The Author – Liz Pichon

Liz Pichon studied graphic design at Camberwell School of Art in London. She then joined the music industry as an Art Director for Jive Records. Liz went freelance to develop her own illustration and design work, which has since been used on a wide variety of products. Her distinctive style can be seen on anything from beach towels and fabric to calendars, mugs and greeting cards. Liz’s first illustrated book won a National Parent award in the USA and encouraged her to write her own stories. She subsequently won a Smarties Silver award for her picture book, My Big Brother Boris. Liz is the author of the best-selling TOM GATES series for 8+ readers, which has sold over 2 million books in the UK.
