Stone Food Festival

[Ad-gifted] Here are some photos from Stone Food & Drink Festival which was held from 6 to 8 October.

We had the opportunity to pop over yesterday and get a chance to see over 200 stalls located at the festival at Westbridge Park. It was great weather hence lots of people from all walks of life were there.

The festival is held not far from the town centre, visitors can either park up at the various allocated parking lots around town or park at Aston Marina and take the park and ride.

We parked up at Aston Marina and took the ‘park and ride’ bus to the Festival. The bus took less than 10 minutes to get there but unfortunately we had to wait almost 45 minute for a bus on the way back.

So if you are not in a rush, then we would advise you to take the park and ride option. The ride will cost £3 per person, definitely a hassle free way to get to the festival.

Once we got our tickets, we were given a goodie bag which consisted of the programme booklet, some brochures as well as a Cookbook titled ’30 minute Asian meals made simple’. We soon made our way to the open food stalls which were starting to cook up some delicious meals.

There were also more stalls set up inside the canopy, selling all sorts of things from cheese, wines, dips, gift items, crisps, cakes, gluten free desserts, meat, pastries and other items. We were told there are about 200 stalls set up for the festival.

We were spoilt for choices when it came to lunch time, the savory and sweet crepe and Hoi Sin Duck Rolls were some of our favourite. There were also lots of desserts from strawberries and cream to chocolate churros, cakes and ice-cream.

All in all, it was a great event to head to with the family.
