Ebook Review: A Good Demon is Hard To Find by Kate Moseman

Most of us have a lot more time on our hands at the moment which means more time for hobbies. So if you want a bit of escapism during our time of confinement. A Good Demon is Hard to Find by Kate Mosemon, is a great way to do that! This is a silly, supernatural, fantasy takes you to a world where demons and witches exist and you can call them up when you are in trouble or need to get a bit of revenge! This fun read is light and easy to pick up and put down, and on the plus side it is not too long, so you can add it to your inventory of COVID-19 reads without taking out too much time.

Being an eBook means that you can get on your E-reader in an instant. Or in my case my kindle, which I love to use. I read more books on here than I have ever read before. I find the eBook is so much less daunting because you can’t see the thickness and I also find that I don’t restrict myself to certain authors. I’m almost a less judgmental reader because of it, which is great, as it means I have read far more eBooks than I otherwise might have done had they been paper or hardback variations.

What did I think of the eBook?

In terms of masterful stories, this isn’t that kind of book. This is a simple easy reading light-hearted fun comedy. Moseman has a nice writing style that is easy to follow, but her story isn’t one with tonnes of things happening, but for me, this was perfect as a eBook I could pick up from my bedside table and read before going to bed. There is nothing too intense about it or hard to follow. You have a good giggle at points but are no means ruling around the floor. Its tongue and cheek and a really good read. The eBook is short and I did read it within around two evenings – which again was great as it means that you can read her books as a little break in-between some heftier novels you might be reading during your time off during COVID-19. I thoroughly enjoyed it and really enjoyed the readability of the story.

Equally, Moseman has a really good way of creating her characters and although there were only really five main people in the eBook, you really got to know them and knew what they were like. This is a skill that not many authors have. I often go through a whole eBook and can’t even recollect the main character properly, due to their being no real descriptions on who they are but with Moseman this isn’t the case.

About the Author

Kate Moseman lives in Florida, and as well as having written two novels,  she is photographer and recipe developer, which has lead her to create several cookbooks (Note she credits herself as Katie Moseman on her cookery books). A Good Demon is Hard to Find is a light-hearted Fantasy Comedy, and her second novel. I enjoyed this one so much that I am looking at downloading her first novel Rollercoaster Romance, and if you enjoy her books she also has a third novel on the way, called a Witches’ Work is Never Done.

This looks like a good and interesting book to read. I am not actually fan of reading an ebook but I think, this is the right time for me to try it.

I’m still more a paperback fan but I can see the advantages of an ebook. Much easier to store and less heavy to take with you.

Exactly! We love our paperbacks but at the moment with a lot of publishing companies shut, it is best to rely on eBooks

I’ve read so much more since I switched to a Kindle at Christmas, especially since the lockdown with it my go-to relaxing treat

Sometimes a light hearted book is exactly what you need. I haven’t read a supernatural book for a while but I might just check it out.
