What we thought of the book?
My five-year-old daughter Jemma was immediately drawn to the book’s bright cover and couldn’t wait to start exploring. Rather than reading it from beginning to end, we found ourselves dipping in and out of different sections depending on what caught her eye. This format worked brilliantly, allowing her to choose topics that interested her most and helping to keep her engaged.
The pages are colourful and visually appealing, with stunning photographs of planets, astronauts, rockets and stars. Jemma loved pointing out the different images and asking questions about what she could see. The book is full of interesting facts presented in short, bite-sized sections, making it easy for younger children to absorb information without feeling overwhelmed.
One of our favourite features was the way the book encourages children to think beyond the facts. Throughout the pages there are questions designed to spark curiosity and discussion. These prompted some lovely conversations between us about what it might be like to visit space, walk on the moon, or travel to another planet.
Although the book contains a lot of information, it never feels too complicated. The language is clear and age-appropriate, making it ideal for children who are beginning to develop an interest in science. Jemma particularly enjoyed learning about the different planets and was amazed by the size of Jupiter compared to Earth.
This is a book that can be revisited time and time again, with something new to discover on every read. It’s informative, entertaining and beautifully presented, making it a fantastic addition to any young child’s bookshelf.

I would get any good science book to my nephews and Little kids First Big of Space is awesome…Amazing book. Love it.
That is such a fun way to get the kids excited about science. My son would have loved this when he was a kid.
