After last year’s incredible SOLD OUT run at Manchester’s Albert Hall, Backyard Cinema Romeo and Juliet returns with their critically acclaimed show this September! This year promises to be even more spectacular, with enhanced visual effects and an even larger audience capacity. If you missed out last time, this is your chance to experience a magical evening filled with romance and drama.
Celebrate Baz Luhrmann’s acclaimed 1996 cult classic, screened in this intimate and breath-taking setting amongst candle-lit aisles. A live choir will perform stunning interpretations of iconic songs from the soundtrack, including Young Hearts, Everybody’s Free, Kissing You, and Doves Cry. Each performance will immerse you in the sheer emotion of the story, bringing a new dimension to the unforgettable tale of love and loss.
Backyard Cinema is proud to partner with the Music Venues Trust to help sustain live music and protect grassroots venues across the country. These independent venues are vital to the music scene, providing a platform and pipeline for emerging artists and offering unique spaces for live performances. By adding a £1 donation to your ticket purchase, you can directly support the future of these venues and ensure they continue to thrive. Your contribution will make a real difference in keeping live music alive and accessible. Also, consider attending other events at these venues to support the local arts community.
