Children will have the chance to exercise their creativity at Bridgemere Wyevale Garden Centre, this May half-term as the centre continues its series of fun-filled activities for budding young gardeners!
The events will take place from 28 May- 1 June, giving kids between three and eight-years-old the opportunity to create their own garden features, plant their own mini allotment, and even build a home for their garden gnome! Each session will run for 20 minutes, bringing to life the joys of gardening and wildlife for little ones.
If all of this doesn’t sound like enough fun for the half-term holidays, all events include a free activity sheet to take home or complete in centre. Here are some of what will be taking place next week.
Make a Magical Windflower
Date: Monday, 28 May
Cost: £2.50 (20 minute sessions)
Create a flower pinwheel for lots of fun in your summer garden.
Pots of Colour
Date: Tuesday, 29 May
Cost: £2.50 (20 minute sessions)
Go potty! Decorate a pot and plant a colourful bedding plant.
Little Gardens for Little Growers
Date: Wednesday 30 May
Cost: £2.50 (20 minute sessions)
Plant your own mini allotment with giant flowers, bee hives and wild friends.
Bird Kite Delight
Date: Thursday, 31 May
Cost: £2.50 (20 minute sessions)
Make a beautiful bird kite to enjoy the sunshine.
Gnome Sweet Home
Date: Friday, 1 June
Cost: £2.50 (20 minute sessions)
Make a cosy home for your garden gnome using a pot and saucer.
[You can also add a kid’s meal on to your session for only £2.50 per child. Do note: Session times vary by centre.]
