Stoke-on-Trent’s community brass band, Penkhull Village Brass, will bring an evening of Oompah and Pop to Claybody Theatre this October, as they present Oktoberfest across two nights in a traditional Bierkeller setting.
Led by former Royal Marines Bandmaster Gary Standeven, Penkhull Village Brass has been entertaining and serving communities across Stoke-on-Trent since 2015.
The evening will be hosted by local favourite and actor Howard Chadwick, recently seen in Claybody Theatre’s A Christmas Carol and The Card, as well as One Man, Two Guvnors at New Vic Theatre.
The bar will be provided by Lymestone Brewery, a family-run microbrewery established in Stone. Oktoberfest forms part of Claybody Theatre’s Autumn/Winter programme, taking place at its found-space theatre on the former Spode Pottery site.

About Claybody Theatre
Claybody Theatre is a dynamic artist led company, based in Stoke-on-Trent. Founded by writer Deborah McAndrew and director Conrad Nelson, Claybody has been making theatre in found spaces around the city since 2013.
In 2023 Claybody took up permanent residency in an empty industrial space in the former Spode Pottery. Working in close partnership with Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Claybody is developing the space into an exciting new Arts venue called The Dipping House, with sell out productions of new plays, one off events, performance pieces, and community activities.  Claybody is engaged with communities at every level, offering opportunities for participation and volunteering, working in educational and community settings, and creating content for digital platforms. Recent audio output includes a podcast on Northern Soul, narrated by Sir Lenny Henry.  Claybody Theatre is part of the National Portfolio of Organisations funded by Arts Council England. Their Patron is the renowned actor, Toby Jones.
