Pantomime audiences at Crewe Lyceum Theatre in Cheshire can expect to be swept away on a magical magic carpet ride this festive season as they join the star-studded cast of Aladdin from 16 December 2022 to 18 January 2023.

Much loved and celebrated TV personality Louie Spence, Coronation Street and TV Actor Jamie Kenna, Channel 5’ Milkshake! presenter Kiera-Nicole and stage favourite Malcolm Lord will be joined by Ste Johnston, Amelia Atherton and Thomas A Chan.

Supporting cast includes Michael Dean Wilson, Sophie Hirst, Sian Fourniller, Joey Warne and a full juvenile ensemble for an evening full of full of sparkle, slosh and laughs galore.

Aladdin is produced by Imagine Theatre and is written by Eric Potts  and will be directed by David McNeil with Choreography from Graeme Pickering, Musical Arrangement by Steve Clark, Musical Direction by Gregor Keachie and Lighting and Sound Design from Carl Knapper.

The story involves poor Aladdin who is in love with Jasmine but as a reluctant helper in the laundry run by his mother his prospects are not looking good, that is until a mysterious magician arrives promising riches beyond his wildest dreams! 

Will Aladdin be able to thwart the wicked Abanazar, gain control of the magic lamp and win the heart of Jasmine?

About Imagine Theatre

Run by husband-and-wife team Steve and Sarah Boden, Imagine Theatre is a pantomime and family theatre production company operating from a purpose-built facility in Coventry, which houses their head office, along with over 40 sets and more than 30,000 costumes and prop items. With a team of over 25 working for the company, Imagine Theatre is growing and evolving with each year that passes. Working alongside Steve & Sarah Boden is Associate Producer and Head of Celebrity Casting, Laura Taylor, whilst heading up the creative department is Artistic Director Eric Potts.

I’d love to watch this with my family. Watching a pantomime is one of our Christmas traditions and it’s great to spend an afternoon/evening watching a show and all laughing together.
