What I thought of the 2023 Dairy Diary?

The A5 sized Dairy Diary is such a practical diary to welcome 2023. Although I do have an online calendar which I check when I am out and about, I find that having a paper diary to refer to when I am back in my home office is so crucial. This allows me to make notes, jot down ideas and plans when I am at my desk or when I unwind after a hectic day to prepare for the next day.

Dairy Diary has a beautiful nature inspired cover and the insides of the book is wiro-binded hence you won’t have the problem of pages tearing or stretching the book when you keep opening it.

The diary also includes a sheet of memorable dates sticker sheet (yes I love stickers!) to help you remember important dates as well as birthdays which is inserted into a notes pocket (perfect for adding receipts or other items in as well).

There are lots of interesting information included in the diary such as on crafting, gardening and wellbeing as well as essential information for home and garden. Plenty of useful kitchen tips as well as clearly laid-out pages for you to note on your budget on a monthly basis so you keep on top of your expenses.

The diary has a week-to-view layout with lots of delicious weekly recipes for the whole family. About Dairy Diary

The history of the Dairy Diary began way back in 1968, the Milk Marketing Board launched a cookbook to be sold via the milkman, designed to support the doorstep delivery service and to encourage milk sales. The book was The Dairy Book of Home Cookery.

This book proved to be so popular, that it was revised and reprinted in 1978, 1992, 2012 and 2018. It has sold over three million copies in the UK and has become the crucial cookery ‘bible’ for many households. In fact, it was voted one of the most reliable cookbooks of all time by BBC Good Food readers.

Numerous recipe books published by the MMB followed the Dairy Book of Home Cookery, including the Pennywise cookbook and Clever with Cream.

In 1980 the MMB published the  Dairy Book of Home Management, which was a comprehensive guide to running a home, managing a garden and caring for the family. It was edited by Neil Tennant, who later went on to edit Smash Hits magazine and then form the Pet Shop Boys. Very much a book of its 70/80’s era it covered a vast range of topics, with information varying from facial exercises to tips on how to plan a funeral!
