Tony’s Chocolonely’s Countdown Calendar

Tony’s Chocolonely’s countdown calendar makes the wait for Christmas incredibly tasty this year. Enjoy 10 different flavours of Fairtrade milk, dark and white chocolate wrapped up in Christmas colours, ready for sharing or hang them on your Christmas tree!

We love our chocolate and traditionally have a Chocolate themed Advent Calendars for children, but this year we are educating them about Fairtrade products and supporting brands such Tony’s Chocolonely as their brand mission is to crusade against child slavery in the chocolate industry.

Founded by Teun van de Keuken, a Dutch journalist who was shocked to discover that slavery still existed in the cocoa sector, he decided to make 5,000 Fairtrade chocolate bars himself when the large chocolate makers ignored him.   Now Tony’s Chocolonely not only strives on making Fairtrade chocolate but also uses uncoated, recycled FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified paper to wrap his chocolates. This means that he is sure that the paper originates from sustainably managed forest.

Tony’s Chocolonely’s Advent Calendar contains 25 tiny tony’s dark, milk and white chocolate which are individually wrapped. These chocolates also contain hazelnut, almond, nougat, sea salt, caramel, pretzel, freeze-dried raspberry as well as popping sugar as their flavours. There are also 24 notes to read as you open each chocolate which I find educational.

By purchasing this Advent Calendar, you are contributing to Tony’s Chocolonely’s mission to make 100% slave free the norm in chocolate.  The calendar comes in size 52.7 x 32.6 x 3.2 cm (h/w/d) and you can order yours for just £14.99 from their website here.
