Published by Harper Collins, The Wish List by Sophia Money-Coutts is the next eBook to be featured on the blog. The Wish List talks about your everyday girl, Florence Fairfax who loves her job at the little bookshop in Chelsea and her beloved cat Marmalade who keeps her company at night. She might have been single for quite a while – well, forever actually, if anyone’s asking – but she’s perfectly happy, thank you. Then suddenly Florence meets eccentric love coach Gwendolyn, and everything changes when she is asked to write a wish list describing her perfect man.
Florence refuses to take the list seriously but still pens down her desires such as finding someone who likes cats, has the sexual athleticism of James Bond and can overlook her ‘counting’ habit? Impossible! Until, later that week, a handsome blond man asks for help in the bookshop.
Rory seems to fit the list perfectly. But is he ‘the one’, or simply too good to be true? Florence is about to find out that her criteria for Mr Right aren’t as important as she thought – and that perhaps she’s been looking for love in all the wrong places…

What did I think of the eBook?
I love romcoms and find that they are a good light read to help me relax and break my mundane normality of everyday life. I am already a fan of Sophia after reading one of her earlier books, What Happens Now so could not wait to read this eBook. In the Wish List, her writing style is still the same, smooth and flowing and her story, relatable. I love how engaging her story is as she has the gift to pull you into the life of the characters, in this instance, Florence Fairfax or Flo as she is called, who works in a bookshop in Chelsea, has an obsessive counting problem and a cat called Marmalade.
The eBook starts off on a high note as there are lots of funny moments in the book and a lot of saucy sex in there as well. If you are single, you will be able to relate to Flo who is single with her biological clock ticking and her worried step-mum setting her up with Gwendoline, a love coach which leads her into creating a wish list for the perfect man in her life. Surprisingly, by the end of the week, Rory, an aspiring MP walks into her bookstore and fits her list perfectly. I also loved how close-knit Flo’s family were and the drama that goes on in her life with her half-sister getting married.
The first few chapters of The Wish List was very engaging as I delved deeply into Flo’s life, learnt more about Rory and her friends, but I could predict the ending of the story half-way through the read. Nevertheless, an enjoyable, witty and light read …oh and let me add that you will remember The Wish List every time you hear the word ‘Cowabunga’ from now on.

Sounds like a book I would definitely enjoy, love chic lit! I prefer paperbacks to kindle, but I guess at least they take up less space!
