If you have booked yourself a last-minute staycation break and desperately looking for eBook titles to add to your reading list, then We Just Clicked by Anna Bell is your book. Published by Harper Collins, the book is about Izzy Brown who has always dreamed of making it big on Instagram, but her followers just aren’t growing. So when her colleague and fellow ‘influencer’ Luke suggests they fake date to boost their profiles, Izzy says yes – against her better judgement. Now Izzy’s profile shows a confident, glamorous thirty-something with the perfect boyfriend, and her followers are shooting up by the thousands.
So what if behind the scenes, things are a little different? Izzy can’t stop bickering with Luke, his habit of checking his quiff in EVERY SINGLE mirror is driving her insane, and she’s hiding a secret heartache. But everyone tells a few fibs on social media, right?
Then Izzy runs into Aidan, the mysterious stranger who saved her the day her world fell apart two years ago – and major sparks start to fly. Izzy’s sure she can have the online success she’s always dreamed of, whilst falling in love in real life. After all, Aidan doesn’t use social media… what could possibly go wrong?

What did I think of the eBook?
What can I say? This eBook was not only funny but got me tearful as it was so relatable in every way! As an influencer myself, checking on followers, likes and number of comments on Instagram and social media is a huge deal for me. Getting friends and my husband to take the perfect shot with the right background (and pout not to mention) is the norm. We Just Clicked starts off by sharing about Izzy, a funny and strong woman who is struggling with grief, letting go and moving on. She pours herself into social media to escape from her pain and realises that she is able to build a following and a career she has always dreamed off. Unknown to her followers she has fabricated a relationship with unlikable character Luke in order to build her followers whilst showcasing a ‘fake’ lifestyle.
In real life, however, she has fallen for Aidan whom she meets again after her chance encounter when she was at her lowest two years before that. Aidan is such a gentleman and the perfect man for her. But soon things start to go wrong when her two worlds start to meet. What will happen next? A lovely light-hearted and funny read, this eBook reminds people to not believe everything they see on Instagram as some shots may have been staged. The book finished off well but I felt something was missing in the end. Nevertheless, it is a lovely book to take with you on your staycation break before school starts again and as we all get back to some sort of normality.

I enjoy these kinds of rom-com literally journeys so I’m intrigued by this book! It sounds funny, and as if Izzy goes through a whole process also I love that it’s about being an influencer and ‘ for the gram’! So modern and present lol.

This sounds like a great book. I actually think I might read it since it has that influencer aspect in it. I kind of want to see what happens with her and Aidan’s relationship in the end.
