[Ad-gifted] The Cashmere 3 wick luxe candle from Lumieres fits right in with all the aspects of autumn that I love – the changing colours & scents of the season; getting wrapped up in a woolly hat & scarf and going for a walk in the crisp air; coming home to the fire, and maybe a hearty one-pot meal. A cosy home can be an escape from the less lovable parts of autumn – and this candle is a lovely addition.

The Cashmere 3 wick luxe candle is from Les Lumieres du Temps, and sold exclusively in the U.K. by The Little Dove Company. It arrived in a sturdy, matt, minimal white and silver box, with a pull ribbon for opening. I immediately knew that the candle inside was going to be a high-quality product.

On opening the box, the candle and wicks were also protected by a card sleeve, to prevent any damage during transportation. This attention to detail means the candle would not need further packaging to make a beautiful gift – but, if you buy one, I doubt you’ll want to give it away.

The Cashmere candle is set into a classic, lacquered, mid-grey glass holder. The attractive, neutral colour choice makes it suitable for any interior décor scheme. The candle is hand poured from soya wax and uses cotton wicks, giving it an appealing, natural quality in contrast to some of its synthetically coloured and fragrances competitors. The candle has a diameter of 15 centimetres and is 8 centimetres tall, giving up to 50 hours burn time. The opaque nature of both the glass and the soya wax mean that, despite being a large object, the candle looks modern and stylish. However, the product is in no way flimsy and I felt confident to light and use the candle without worrying that the glass holder would be unsafe in any way.

This luxe candle is beautiful even before you light it – but when lit, it engages the senses. Lumieres candles use perfumes sourced from Grasse, the home of the French perfume industry. So, I hoped the scent would be beautiful and subtle – particularly as I’m not a fan of overly floral or heavy scents. Happily ‘Cashmere’ is as unusual and luxurious as you might expect.  It combines what I would describe as caramel, apple, cedar and vanilla to give an autumnal scent which is a balance of freshness, fruit and flowers. The perfume made me think of cooking marshmallows over a campfire in a forest – yes, I really got that image from a scent!

I really feel that both the quality of light and beautiful relaxing scent from this Cashmere 3 wick luxe candle will help to create a soft, welcoming atmosphere in my home and am looking forward to using it to warm the autumn season and beyond.
