[Ad-gifted] With the Easter half-term holiday coming next week, I am sure a lot of parents out there are wondering what to do with their children to keep them busy.
With the cost of living increasing, doing things as a family can be expensive, especially if you have two or more children in tow. So, we are sharing with you about tastecard, a restaurant discount card which also gives you deals on your favourite activities, cinema tickets, discounts from your favourite shops and more!
We find that we are always busy working hence try to spend some quality time with our children during the half term break on days out without breaking the bank. Free or discounted activities rank high on our list, so a trip to the library during the half-term holiday is always a must as we know books would keep our kids busy for hours.

To start the Easter holiday rolling, we decided to head out for a movie with the kids. After looking at the available showtimes at our local cinema venue which is Cinemax at The Potteries Centre, we decided on booking Shazam! Fury of the Gods.

I downloaded the tastcard app on my phone (while my son was at swimming) and applied for the four e-code cinema vouchers which cost me £20.36. This literally took minutes. If I had booked directly via Cinemax’s website the cost would have been £27.96. So an immediate saving of £7.60 there. I then headed to Cinemax’s website to book our seats and add in the e-codes and the movie tickets was emailed to me. I found the whole process very easy and faultless.

The movie was fabulous and we had such a lovely day out. It was too late to cook hence we decided to do order Dominoes Pizza. Again, this literally just took minutes via the tastecard app, I ordered our pizzas while we were on our way back and we immediately were given a 50% discount as our total bill was above £30. We picked up the pizza on the way back and headed home to enjoy it.

What did we think of tastecard?
tastecard is such an easy app to use, I found that I was able to order vouchers and meals in minutes with no hassle at all. As a family we do love to head out for days out and either order take-outs or meals in the restaurant. So although the savings you see here is very small, every little adds up and in the long run and I know we will save quite a nice sum of money. So with the current economy, having the ability to save money is a big deal especially when making bulk order.
I also love that tastecard provides offers and deals on so many attractions, restaurants, cinema tickets, and even coffee. They have a variety of offers in small towns and cities. So, whether you are off for a meal at the local Bella Italia, a day out at Alton Tower or looking for Liverpool restaurant deals, tastecard has you sorted!
How much is tastecard membership?
tastecard is offering people a 60-day trial for just £1 (cancel anytime), you can then renew it to £39.99 or join the yearly membership for just £34.99.
How can I apply to join tastecard?
Head to the tastecard app to download the app where you will be able to easily search for offers, restaurants as well as e-codes.

About tastecard
In 2006, tastecard was founded and revolutionised the dining industry. Noticing a dip in revenue mid-week at his own bar, our CEO Matt Turner set his sights on changing the pattern thousands of hospitality businesses faced. The aim was to bring restaurants more customers and customers an affordable lifestyle, all with the help of dining discounts.
So, tastecard began. They started out with a handful of London restaurants in tow, each one offering 2 for 1 meals or 50% off food to customers. And it was a roaring success. Rolling out their product across the rest of the nation, they’re now the UK’s biggest dining club and have thousands of big name and independent restaurants onboard offering the same delicious discounts. Off the back of our discount dining success, we soon turned our hand to other offers. Adding cinema, attraction, pizza delivery, movie rental and online discounts, we became more than just food. And now a household name, we have over 2 million members onboard, with helping out businesses and people still nestled in everything they do.
