[Ad-gifted] We love promoting British brands hence are proud to showcase Kakawa Artisan Chocolates & Co which sell locally produced handmade chocolates.
These chocolates are made to order, in small batches from South East County of Kent, also referred to as The Garden of England for hundreds of years due to its spectacular coastline views and White Cliffs of Dover.
Our selection today includes indulgent Hot Chocolate Sharing Box, Chocolate Chocsickles, their Brownie Bundle and a selection of their Chocolate Bars. For those intending to roast cacao beans then it is worth checking out this cacao bean roaster equipment which also roasts nuts. Keep on reading to find out how these tasted and what we thought of them.
Hot Chocolate Sharing Box
This is the ultimate hot chocolate sharing box, perfect during the cold Autumn and Winter months or as an indulgent treat after a long walk on a rainy day in Spring/Summer. The box contained 2 x Milk Chocolate Spoons, 2 x Duo Hot Chocolate Spoons, 1 x White Chocolate Spoon and 1 x Mini Mallows.
Individually packed, each chocolate spoon makes a large satisfying mug of hot chocolate. Both my children enjoyed the experience of stirring the chocolate spoon in warm milk and watching it melt away. In fact they even had a cheeky bite to taste the chocolate spoons and dare I say some mini mallows went missing along the way as well. The drink was warming and decadent, just like a big warm hug.
Chocolate Chocsickles
This is such a cool way of customising your chocolate chocsickles as you can choose your own filling and topping to make it unique. There are a total of 5 fillings which you can choose from No Filling,
The bars are made with a creamy milk chocolate and of course with the addition of the filling and topping, the bars were truly indulgent.
Brownie Bundle
We love tasting a selection of flavours and receiving this brownie bundle was such a treat. There were four brownies in our bundle and they consisted of Choc & Hazelnut with milk chocolate drizzle (which was my favourite), Choc & Wafer with milk chocolate drizzle, Cookie Crumble with milk chocolate drizzle and Caramel with milk chocolate drizzle.
The brownies were tasty but they were more cake like and not as fudgy or gooey as we were used to nevertheless, they all disappeared very quickly. Each of the brownie toppings gave it a unique flavour, the cookie crumble gave it a crunch, the caramel a slightly chewy texture while the hazelnut gave it a nutty finish and the wafer reminded us of chocolate flakes. You can pick four brownies from a selection of 13 flavour choices on their website. The brownies will last up to 10 days after dispatch but they did not last more than two days in my house.

Chocolate Bars
As you can tell, we love eating chocolates but we all have our favourite flavours, my son likes mint chocolates, while my daughter milk or white chocolates, my husband loves the dark chocolate while I love chocolates with nuts in them.
Kakawa Artisan Chocolates has a huge selection of chocolate bars for sale on their website from just the plain 100g chocolate bars to XXXL Bars which is 2.5kg in weight! They also do large chocolate buttons, custom designed limited edition chocolate bars as well as chocolate pizzas… the choices are unlimited to be honest.
We were sent three chocolate bars which were Mint & Honeycomb, Caramel & Cookie as well as Choc & Crunch. These are perfect as a birthday gift or as a family sharing bar as everyone can try the different flavours.
The chocolate bars were totally indulgent and what a great idea to combine both white and milk chocolate as well as the toppings. Each bite was satisfyingly rich and the toppings gave it an extra lift as well.

What did we think of the chocolates?
I am a chocolate snob and to be honest, won’t eat chocolates which I find are not up to my standard. That being said, I can assure you that these products from Kakawa Artisan Chocolates are simply delicious and in one word…indulgent!
I often reach out for the chocolate and give it a sniff first and these smelled rich, next I take a bite to see if it breaks off easily or is hard. Then, I finally savour its flavours.
I loved the chocsickles while my daughter the hot chocolate and my son and husband the chocolate bars. I loved that the bundle contained something that each of us thoroughly enjoyed and it felt like a satisfyingly rich treat.
These are quality chocolates so I would recommend sharing them out as a little piece goes a long way. They make wonderful personalised gift ideas for birthdays and celebrations.

About Kakawa
Kakawa is the brainchild of JJ, who was inspired by how Lord Sugar from The Apprentice achieved all he has in business to create his very own business within the food sector.
He decided to venture out into the chocolate business after being in the food industry for 19 years. He started making very small number of slabs (3 flavours) and very quickly word spread about this ‘new chocolate’ being ‘the best everyone has ever tasted. Soon his range of products began to grow. At present, they offer over 200 handmade chocolate products within their collections.
