Review: Children's Happy Confident Me Journal

[Ad-gifted] It is so important to bring up a competent and confident child in this day and age and as a parent, I am sure this thought often pops up in your head.

Both my children love journaling and they have each had a diary since they could write, I find this is a great way for them to express themselves by writing their thoughts, doodling and to improve their spelling/grammar.  In this post, we will be sharing about a lovely bright and cheerful looking Happy Confident Me Journal which is filled with all sorts of activities to help children be happy and be more confident with themselves.

The aim of the book is for your child to jot down ideas, hopes, worries, thoughts, ambitions, plans, feelings, dreams, troubles and whatever might be on their mind so that they can feel more confident about themselves and visualise their future plans. Parents interested in supporting their child’s emotional wellbeing and development may also benefit from learning more about safeguarding children and young people in everyday environments.

If you like what you have read so far, keep on reading to find out more about this feel-good journal that will help children be more tuned with their feelings.

Review: Children's Happy Confident Me Journal

What did my 9-year-old daughter think of it?

These are her words: “I thought the journal as very good because it has got a lot of positive quotes which famous people have said and this can make you feel happy when you read them. Mark Twain said this Kindness is the language that the blind can see and the deaf can hear.  I liked that I could write what I was grateful for each day but I would have also preferred if it also had different questions every day, that would have made the journal better. I also wanted more weekly activities to be included into the book but perhaps this could be daily activities instead”.

Now, my daughter loves doodling, reading and writing and practically spends an hour doing this before she heads to bed and is totally in love with the Happy Confident Me journal.  In a way, the journal has helped me get into her mind to discover what she is as sometimes being a child, she does not share her feelings or thoughts as much as I would like her to.  Unlike her other diaries or journals, I get to sit with her to talk and discuss about what she has written, her feeling or if something has happened.

This is a superb tool if your child is struggling with mental health issues or is being bullied at school and you want them to share more. I find that this journal will also help your introvert child communicate how they feel about something and to cherish an accomplishment which they have achieved or feel grateful for all they have.

This is a nice thing to practice from a young age and promote gratitude and confidence. I love the idea of the quotes and space to doodle and play around x

This is a brilliant idea! I have never thought about giving my son a journal but actually I think this type of thing would help him massively! He lacks confidence in a lot of things he does and is a major worrier, absolutely am buying one of these for him to give it a go.

This is such a lovely idea. I used to write in a diary a lot when I was younger and although I don’t so much now, I remember it being very cathartic. I think this is a great idea for children to grow up learning!

This looks like a fantastic journal and I love how kid orientated and colourful it is! This would be perfect for my son who would love a journal of his own and he sometimes struggles talking about how he is feeling without getting super frustrated. Writing them down might be much easier for him!
