[Ad-gifted] Chocolate…we can’t tell you how much the whole family adores chocolate in every form and shape..be it a cake, biscuit, in a car, in a drink, added to cookies..the list is endless.
While most people think they are coffee connoisseur, I can assure you that my whole family..including my youngest who is 6 is a chocolate connoisseur! We were contacted by Chinello from Good Cake Day to review her Boujee Bea brownie which she especially made.
So as you can tell …we take our chocolate seriously so scroll on to read our full review of the brownies we received.
We received the brownies all intact via Royal Mail’s special delivery, so the brownies can be tracked. The brownies came a brown box and upon opening it it was beautifully packaged with decorative paper, a BLUSH card and my very own Good Cake Day Badge of honour.
There was an allergy sticker indication on the box to say that it contained cereals and eggs and the expiry date on it as well. Our box contained 12 large handcrafted brownies. Even before I tasted the brownies, I already felt very special opening the package, this would surely make a fabulous present for a very special person who loves all things chocolate.
What did we think of the brownies?
Being an avid baker myself, I tend to bake most of my cakes and not buy any. We only tend to order speciality birthday cakes from our local baker so I have to say that I was initially sceptical of reviewing these brownies. The box came beautifully presented, so that was a tick for me. Opening it, the first thing that hit me was the smell, immediately both my kids who were in a different room ran into the kitchen to ask me what was in the box..they could tell it smelled like chocolate and could not keep their hands off it.
Next, the taste…did it hit the mark? Oh yes it did…we have done a cake review from Bakerdays before and while we did enjoy that cake, I could tell it was pre-made but I could not differentiate and tell you that this Boujee brownie was made and sent to us via post. It tasted rich, chocolately and AMAZING! Each batch of brownies was made using premium chocolate, French butter and black cocoa powder and I could get the smell of the smokey chocolate vibe from the black cocoa powder! With each bite, I could taste the chopped white and milk chocolate which gave it a wonderful texture.
We have tasted loads of brownies but this has been one of the best! It tasted soft and fudgy…the brownies were rich in flavour but not too sweet or dry like most brownies (that you needed to warm it up and add ice-cream to it)….and the presentation looked lush especially with the gold on the top. These are perfect to be eaten by itself at any time…night or day! I am already making a list of friends and family whom I want to order this and send to as it is that good.
If you live alone or are on a strict diet, then just order 6pcs and freeze for cheat days as they can be frozen up to 2 months in the freezer. Sadly these delicious brownies did not last any more than 2 days in our household. I also shared them with my friends who said it was one of the best brownies they have tasted and one of my baker friends even said that the brownies tasted excellent and she gave it 1000 points out of 10!
About the Brownies
Make way (or room in your belly) for Boujee Bea!!! Bea means bringer of joy and It’s time to indulge your chocolate senses with the joy that is Chinelo’s new tin of handcrafted brownies. If you are wondering what boujee means…well it is a hip-hop slang for something luxurious in lifestyle yet humble in character and Boujee Bea is as boujee as they come. Simple ingredients with stunning results! Each batch of brownies is made using premium chocolate, French butter and black cocoa powder. As if the smoked chocolate vibe from the black cocoa powder wasn’t enough, she’s added generous helpings of chopped white and milk chocolate to each batch.

Things to note:
- You can order these brownies in tins of 6 or 12 square brownies. You can also ask Chinelo me to cut them into 12 or 24 triangles.

Brownies are delivered on the first Monday of every monthly or you can sign up to recurring monthly , 3, 6 or 12 month subscriptions (renew/cancel anytime).
- The Boujee Brownies will keep fresh in their tin for 7 days from delivery (trust me, it barely lasted 2 days in our house). But if you are living alone or calorie watching, then place them in a freezer bag on arrival and store in the freezer. It will up to 2 months
- The Brownies come in a lovely silver tin which also can doubles up as a handy storage box
- In the very unlikely event that you no longer want your Boujee Brownies on delivery, please either reject delivery of them or return it back without opening your tin for a full refund (If you open the tin, there will be no refund unless you can show that on delivery, the brownies arrived out of date)
- Chinelo is working on more flavours (including a yummy take on Peanut butter brownies) and subscribers would be the first to try them out.
