Congleton Garden Centre Review

Congleton Garden Centre is located in Congleton, Cheshire. You can find lots of things here from farm shop selling fresh produce, butcher’s selling locally sourced meat, a variety of plants, water features, gift shop, customised hampers and more. Enjoy a cuppa at the tea room while your kids play at the outdoor play area. There are also independent shops such as Classy Cookers, Littlebrook Home and Flowergirl Two located in the premises. Plenty to do all in one location.

There are lots of plants here for sale from flowers, shrubs and herbs. Those looking for ideas will find lots of inspiration from the selection of pots, hanging baskets, water features at the Garden Centre which are all also for sale.

There is a wide selection of fresh produce, ice-cream from the Cheshire Farm, food items such as frozen food, ready made meals, biscuits, cakes, jam, preserves as well as beautiful tea pots and candles being sold in the shop.

More photos follows of gifts and seasonal items being sold in the shop. There are also clothes, decorative items, bags and garden things amongst others. What I love most about the shop? It is constantly changing according to seasons, if you go back in a few month’s time, different items will be sold. I love heading to the Garden Centre just before Christmas as almost half the shop will be dedicated to Christmas toys, decorations, lights as well as Santa’s Groto. There’s just something so magical about the place then.

Here’s a photo of the team room, they serve food freshly made to order such as sandwiches, quiche, hot dinners and a selection of lovely tea cakes. Gluten free products are also sold. so enquire if you have an allergy. Afternoon Tea for Two is also available (you would need to pre-book) for £13.85 serving sandwiches, homemade cakes and hot drinks.

Some interior shot of the cafe with its lovely decorations. There are 3 parts to it, the indoor seated area (top left photo), the lounge area (bottom left photo) as well as the outdoor bit.

The outdoor area has about 4 round benches where families can sit down for cakes or their meals while the kids have a run about in the play area. There’s a lovely sand pit, play house and some slides. Its not that big, but it will keep the kids occupied before the food arrives. My kids love having a run about here no matter what the weather.

We stopped for some cakes, the black forest gateau was served with a choice of ice-cream or cream on the side, we decided on ice-cream and it cost about £3.95 while the hot chocolate cost £2.25.

The Congleton Garden Centre is a great place to head to to grab additions to your garden especially now that the weather is looking a lot better and we are getting ready for summer. At the same time, it is also a great place to grab some fresh, local meat and veg as well as gift items and let the kids let off some steam while you have a drink. Ample of parking available, just remember to drive slow once your in the garden centre as kids will be running about.
