Spring arrives early at Reaseheath Mini Zoo & Lambing Weekend

Reaseheath College Zoo & Lambing Weekend 2026 returns this February and March with four unforgettable days celebrating the arrival of spring and the wonder of new life on the farm. Taking place on selected weekends across late February and early March, this much-loved annual event invites families, animal lovers and countryside enthusiasts to experience the magic of lambing season up close at Reaseheath College and University Centre’s working farm in Nantwich.

With less than a month to go, and tickets now on sale, the event offers a rare opportunity to experience one of the most important moments in the farming calendar, just as spring begins to stir.

Visitors will have the chance to see newborn lambs, learn about the lambing process from knowledgeable staff and students and gain a real insight into modern farming practices. Alongside the heart-warming farm experience, guests can explore Reaseheath’s Mini Zoo, home to a fascinating variety of over 200 animals, ranging from meerkats to reptiles making it a full day of discovery and adventure.  A Farmers Market will also be on site, showcasing local food producers.

With interactive activities, educational talks, family-friendly entertainment and a welcoming community atmosphere, the weekend offers something for all ages. Whether you’re watching lambs take their very first steps, exploring the zoo’s diverse species or simply enjoying a spring day out in the Cheshire countryside, Reaseheath College Zoo & Lambing Weekend 2026 promises a memorable and meaningful experience for everyone.

Things to note:

  • Reaseheath College is a cashless campus so only card and contactless payments are available. Some of the Artisan Market stallholders will be accepting cash.
  • This event is not suitable for expectant ladies
  • Do wash or sanitise your hands after touching any animal
  • There will be several food outlets on campus serving hot and cold meals, snacks and drinks and they will also be hosting an Artisan Market.
  • They offer free entry for any guests who are caring for anyone who is registered as disabled. Documentations need to be provided.
  • Dogs are not permitted
  • Please wear suitable footwear
  • Free parking on site. Enter via Reaseheath College & University Centre Entrance 1 
  • They have toilet facilities on site during including baby changing and disabled access facilities

When is Reaseheath College Lambing Weekend ?

The Reaseheath Zoo will also be open over their Lambing Weekends and the ticket prices will include entrance to both the Lambing event and the visit to their Mini Zoo.  This will take place over two weekends – the 28th February, 1st March, 7th March and 8th March from 10am-4pm (last entry at 3pm).

  • Reaseheath Mini Zoo Admission: Explore their zoo featuring over 200 species of animals, and attend informative keeper talks scheduled throughout the day.
  • Farmers Market – craft and food stalls with local produce

Children (3-16 years) , Students, Senior Citizen with proof of ID – £7
Child under 3 – free
Carer – Disabled guests should purchase a standard adult/child ticket and their carer will be admitted for free. Any carer who purchases a ticket must accompany the person they are caring for on the visit. You will be required to provide documentation to validate this. (This can include a blue badge)

Lambing visitors are asked to access the event via the college’s Main Entrance 1. This will be the only accessible entrance by car during the event. Follow directions to Reaseheath College and Entrance 1 is the second left turn off the B5074 (the road towards Winsford). Pedestrians will be able to enter the campus via Entrance 4 off their old drive, also off the A51.
