We were contacted by the book agent from The Book of Everyone to review Wise(ish) Words for Kids for our almost 8 year-old-daughter. We thought that this would be the perfect gift for her since she loves reading and already has a huge collection of books and even more so because the book is fully customisable.
To place an order, we visited the website and followed some simple instructions. We started by writing whom the book was for (name to appear inside the book), next we had to select if we wanted the design to be in the original design (which we choose) or grafitti (very arty and funky design) or collage (which may suit older kids better). Next we had to choose if we wanted the quote to be very heartfelt or very cheeky… there was a lever bar which we could move. We next keyed in the name of our child (name to appear in the front – Madeline) and from whom the book is from (name to appear in the front – Mummy and Daddy). Within minutes a draft copy of the book was on the screen, we could opt to either have the original quotes or edit (or all) of the pages in the book which is a great thing as each child is different.
Hope you enjoy reading this blog post and it helps you with options of giving your loved ones a more creative gift.

What we loved about the book?
The 50-page book which is recomended for kids from the ages of 8 to 16 is fully customisable and can be personalised as well. We also loved the heartwarming and funny quotes in the book to help our child make better mistakes. Being a bookworm, our daughter loved reading the book and seeing her name on the front page. The book was well made and the printing was clear, each page had the perfect thickness for a small hand to hold and turn without bending it easily. We found the book could give our daughter more confidence and create positive thoughts in her.
What we did not love about the book?
There was nothing we did not like about the book, but we would have also have liked to have done a similar book for our 4-year-old son, unfortunately we did not thinking he was too young for it. Upon seeing the book, he easily read each page and was wondering why he did not get one…so in hindsite we could have ordered one for him…I guess you are never to young for wise words..

These small cards with funny quotes and discount cards were given to hand over to friends
How do I create the book?
All you have to do is go to Wise(ish) Words Of Everyone’s website, add the name of the child you have in mind, and the platform does all the hard work for you, with their name emblazoned on virtually every beautiful page and incorporated into the sage and sometimes silly aphorisms.
It’s fun to make, free to preview and you can add your own touches to create a one-of-a kind-gift for that special child in your life. It’s made in minutes – but will give a lifetime of warm-fuzzy feelings and some great lessons for your favourite kid to live by.
Each unique book of Wise(ish) Words is crammed with stunning design where you choose the style and colours and to what extent you’d like the wise(ish) words to be heartfelt or cheeky, and hit create. You can edit at every stage to lovingly tailor the book’s mottos and maxims even further for the child you have in mind.

My daughter loved these stickers which came with the book as well
How much is the book?
You can choose a digital PDF version at £7.95, a softback version for £23.95, hardback for £29.99 and a deluxe version for £39.95.

This was my daughter’s favourite page in the book
About The Book of Everyone
The Book of Everyone was created as a gigantic heart-thumping, grin-inducing, lip-wobbling celebration of the individual. Because everyone needs to feel loved and unique. And knowing that you share 50% of your DNA with a banana or a billion atoms with Shakespeare is really very important.
Founded by creative directors Jonny Biggins, Jason Bramley, and Steve Hanson, the idea was sparked when Steve purchased all the newspapers on the birth of his son Saul as a keepsake for his 21st birthday (please don’t tell him, he still doesn’t know). They set to work on creating a personalisation platform that could instantly create a book tailored to anyone, stuffed full with curious facts and curveball miscellany, all set against a backdrop of world events.
It’s a daily labour of love that involves all our favourite artists, designers and photographers. Today, we are a multicultural team of writers, designers, technologists, marketers, and lifelong dreamers with hearts set on spreading a big fat dollop of wonderful across the world. With hundreds of thousands of books spread across 175 countries.

I love that the books are customisable and you can edit the quotes in them.
I’ve seen similar books where they change the name of the main character to your child’s name. It’s such great idea and really helps kids to get into reading!
