My 9-year-old daughter is wearing the Montana – Brogue Girls School Shoes (UK Size 2 1/2 to 3).  These shoes are classy and yet offer a design perfect for middle or high school kids who want to look older wearing lace-up styled school shoes.

The timeless Brogue design has been designed for comfort, style and most importantly durability.  My daughter said the shoes were comfy to wear and the padded heel collar made her look slightly taller whilst offering a cushioned foam footbed for comfort.

Made with permair leather, the shoes felt sturdy and firm to the touch but still adaptable and flexible as she walked and ran easily wearing them.

My almost 7-year-old is wearing the Madrid Boys Leather School Shoes (UK size 12 1/2 to 13 ).  The shoes are practical and perfect for active boys like my son who love to run about and play football during break time.

Also made with permair leather, the shoes felt equally sturdy yet comfy for him.  He said that the shoes felt more padded than his current pair, offering protection for his toes and additional soft padded ankle for comfort and support.  It was easy for him to get his shoes on-off thanks to the touch fastens rip tape.

Again, I found his shoes were well suited, purposeful and lightweight at the same time.  I loved the little detailed stitching on his shoes which made it unique and easily identifiable compared to other popular shoe brands.

About Treads 

Treads shoes have been developed as a result of a single dad’s frustration when it came to buying school shoes for his son. A frustrating cycle of how often he had to replace the shoes, sometimes in a matter of weeks. Regularly parting with £50 plus each time and soon realising the shoes were not fit for purpose; even the shoes previous generations had grown up with and learned to trust.  He knew there had to be a better solution and as someone who works in the shoe industry, set about creating the ultimate school shoe that would stand up to the rigours of any schoolyard. Some 2 years later, and after extensive research and development, Treads Shoes was born.
