We were recently invited by the Marketing Team from intu Potteries in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent to participate in a Blogger Event and to challenge each other on their giant games at their Happy S-hopping zones which they have recently launched to co-incide with the launch of their new Family Club Membership. The giant sized games include family favourites such as Guess Who, Snakes and Ladders, Noughts & Crosses, Chess, Table Football and Connect 4 which are placed randomly around the 1st and 2nd floor of the mall. As a Lifestyle Blog which has a high following from parents, we do enjoy featuring activities which are kids friendly as well as heading out to family friendly blogger events ourselves (such as this) to keep our kids busy during half term holidays. So read on to find out what we did and what’s new at intu Potteries Mall.
I headed there with both my kids who are 7 + and 5 years-old and they both totally enjoyed each and every activity which had been laid out for them to test and try out. My daughter loved bouncing on the ball and hopped like a rabbit while my son hopped a little and kept falling off. The Guess Who game was totally fun too as both parents and kids could get involved in the game. Watch the video (scroll below) to see how my kids played it.
Here’s a photo of the three of us taken at their giant chess board, as you can see its a great idea for parents and kids to take a break from their shopping (which may seem boring to little ones) to have a time out session and have some fun and relax before they continue shopping again. As a parent of young kids myself, I love this new idea of the giant games around the S-hopping Zone at intu Potteries as its family friendly and what we need more of. What an amazing sounding family club I loving all the giant play things as well – I remember really enjoying such things when I was younger.
As a kid, a giant toy / game feels a lot more fun than the normal sized ones for sure x

I had to look up what Intu Potteries is, its a strange name for a shopping centre. I think their family games look brilliant. My kids love giant chess particulalry. Mich x
intu is the name of the group of malls michelle and potteries covers the area which its in which is stoke, so the mall in Manchester is known as intu Trafford Centre (which is a place in Manchester). Glad to hear that about your kids and how they love fun games

The Family Club is such a a great idea! It looks like your kids had so much fun! My 6 year old loves giant games like this so we’ll definitely be checking out the Intu Victoria Centre in Nottingham!
