[Ad-gifted] I’ve been a big fan of Baker Ross since trying their Easter Craft Range earlier this year, so I was excited to have some spooky fun with my almost five-year-old daughter and try their Halloween crafts.
There is so much to choose from in the range, we really were spoilt for choice. I opted for a couple of hassle-free crafts that Jemma could do independently, and a couple that we could do together and that took more time and effort to create.
Once again, we both loved all of the activities. There was lots of opportunities for Jemma to use her imagination and make her own design choices. The crafts are great value and also lots of them are currently in the sale.
What we thought of the Baker Ross Halloween Crafts

Halloween Scene Window Decorations
The Halloween Scene Window Decorations are a spooky craft and Halloween decoration all in one! Priced at £5.95, the kit includes 30 pre-cut card templates and a pack of colourful tissue paper sheets in six bright colours. A fun and simple activity to do as a family, we all chose our favourite characters to craft, from skeletons and ghosts to a spooky tree and haunted house. Simply cut small pieces of the tissue paper and stick onto the card with glue.
Jemma is good at using scissors but did find the delicate tissue paper tricky to cut, so she preferred me to cut them out and her to glue them in place. Jemma loved getting creative and choosing different colours for the designs. Once complete, we let them dry and then stuck them to the window. For such a simple craft, they had great impact with the light shining through! This will be one craft we definitely save to put up again next year.

Potions & Cauldrons Mix & Match Decorations Kit
We both loved the Potions & Cauldrons Mix & Match Decorations Kit. It’s perfect for a quick Halloween craft that is fun but also has zero mess! The kit is usually £7.95 but there is 25% off at the moment. Each kit has eight foam cauldrons and potion bottles, plus self-adhesive decorations, including skulls, eyeballs, and spiders. There are wiggle-eyes to stick to the cauldron, and brightly coloured ribbons for hanging up your creations.
Jemma loved that she could create her spooky potion bottles and cauldrons with no help from Mum! This is great for a quick activity to keep your little one entertained over half term and would also be perfect for Halloween parties.

Haunted House Wooden Kits
In comparison, the Haunted House Wooden Kits do require more effort and need both paint and glue, but it was the craft that both Jemma and I were most looking forward to! These usually cost £7.95 but are also in the sale, which is great value as there are two haunted houses to make. Each set comes with the pre-cut and pre-printed panels needed to build your house. You can get creative and decorate them however you like, great for developing your little one’s imagination. We opted to use Baker Ross’ Halloween paint pot set, a pack of multi-purpose deco acrylic paints in eight ‘spooktacular’ colours. These are usually £12.95 but are almost half price in the sale. I was very impressed with the coverage of these paints, and they dried really quickly. Jemma found them easy to use, though she did feedback that there should have been a purple included in the set. The one included is much pinker in real life than it looks on the website. You can also use pens to decorate them, and I found this useful for the smaller details.
Once dry, we slotted the parts together, adding a little wood glue to help keep them in place, though this is not essential. We were both thrilled with our finished haunted house and it’s taken pride of place within our Halloween decorations. We’re both excited to make the next one! This is a fab craft and great value for money as we spent an entire rainy Sunday on it. Another great activity for half term.

Halloween Colour-in Fuzzy Art Wreaths
The Halloween Colour-in Fuzzy Art Wreaths are another set that’s perfect for a fuss-free activity. The set is £7.95 but has 25% off in the Halloween sale, it includes 10 wreathes with five fun designs – Frankenstein, Dracula, Witch, Pumpkin and Werewolf. Each 18cm wreath is pre-printed with black velvet outlines and comes with brightly coloured ribbons so that you can hang them around the house. You can use felt tip pens or coloured pencils, we opted to use Baker Ross’ Fine Tip Fibre Pens, they do a value tub with 48 pens for £8.95 but they are also in the sale at the moment.
Jemma chose to start with the witch wreath, and she loved choosing what colours to use for her creation. This is a craft that you can just leave your child to get on with, so a great way of keeping them entertained with some independent play. We have a spooky play date arranged for Halloween, so this will be a great craft to take round with us for Jemma and her little mate to sit and do until the sugar rush hits!
