What we thought of the Nixplay Smart Photo Frame & How it works

Generally, I wouldn’t even look to buy one of these frames, I have always found them too costly and hard work to keep up to date with pictures, as they usually require you to have an SD memory card that you have to upload the images onto, via your computer. This tends to be done once and then never again! So you end up with old photos viewed over and over!

This is where the Nixplay Smart Photo Frame really stands out. More often than not, I like the review products we tend to receive, but every now and then I absolutely LOVE them and this is one of those times. This photo frame is so great because, once my dad has it in his living room, we can carry on sending him updates and photos using the app that I downloaded onto my phone, which allows me to send images to his Nixplay Smart Photo Frame, from my living room to his!

Don’t get me wrong, I do love a printed picture, but being able to update the frame constantly with images I have been taking on my phone is such a plus. Most often we never see all the pictures I take, apart from perhaps a rainy day where I have a random trawl through my snaps and look back at some golden oldies I took years ago!

In contrast, having the Nixplay Smart Photo Frame 10.1, means that you can regularly send pictures to it, allowing to always be able to look at your most recent snaps – and on those days you rainy days when you find a treasured moment you forgot about, perhaps of you and your dad – you can just ping it over and share the memory! What could be better?

So prior to sending it to my dad, we set up the frame so that it would be ready to use when we gifted it to him on Father’s Day! We followed the instructions which were long but straight forward and easy to follow.  The Nixplay Smart Photo Frame 10.1 comes with a little manual on how to set up and gives you all the details on how to set up the app on your phone so that you are connected to the frame, allowing you to send it the photos.

Not only can you send it photos you can also send it videos, we thought this was a really great feature, it means that once my dad has it, we can send him little video messages straight to his frame! I just love how connected it will make him feel to us, and really allow him to feel part of what his family are getting up to while we aren’t able to see him.
