Fashion Review: Femme Luxe Jumpsuits**

[Ad] It might just be time to say bye-bye – or at least bye for now to your loungewear and make a swap for some slightly more glamorous outfits again if you’re planning on visiting a restaurant you haven’t seen for months during the COVID-19 lockdown. I do love my comfys but still love getting dressed up too. Femme Luxe have sent us two super stylish, but super comfy jumpsuits perfect for your latest dinner date.

But don’t worry, if you still aren’t ready to part with your loungewear just yet, these are genuinely the perfect compromise, as not only do they look glam, but they are made from super soft stretchy fabric. Making sure you are comfy and fabulous all at the same time.

About Femme Luxe Finery

Before we get into what I thought of the two jumpsuits I thought I would introduce the brand, as it is one that I myself am not familiar with. Femme Luxe Finery is a Manchester-based clothing brand, who provide a huge selection of women’s clothing, made here in the UK.

Their clothing ranges include loungewear, accessories, tops, trousers, and even shoes. Their focus is on feminine style and combines comfy with chic. You can find clothing for ‘date night’ and at the same time, you can get it for a cosy night in too!

What I thought of the Femme Luxe jumpsuits

The two jumpsuits arrived in the usual plastic clothing package. They were folded and presented in individual cellophane bags. When I took out the first product, which is the Alba jumpsuit, I was surprised by the thickness of the fabric, it felt fairly weighty and was well put together.

The Alba jumpsuit is made from 95% Polyester and 5% Elastane. This means it should be easy to care for and has plenty of stretch so it will easily bounce back into shape over time.

You can see from the photos, it has a fairly small fit. They are a size 10 but more accurately a size 8-10. But I think when women are in between sizes it can be hard to get a totally accurate fit.

Also, it is really best suited for people over 5’2 inches as otherwise, the crotch does hang a little low. But that being said it is really comfy and they still look very flattering. All I can say is thank goodness for stretchy fabrics!

The Alba jumpsuit has some really attractive design features too with the square shoulder pads giving it quite an angular shape, and the added mesh in the centre, giving it a unique look. The narrow legs are particularly flattering as it draws your eye to the thinnest part of your body, being your ankle.

I love trousers that do this, as they generally make your legs look great.

The second jumpsuit is The Teagan. It is a much more revealing jumpsuit but you could pair it up with a t-shirt to make it more casual as we have done in the picture. This also allows you to change the look of your outfit a few times and still wear the same jumpsuit – perfect for if you don’t want to take too many clothes on holiday.

You can also wear the jumpsuit without anything underneath, but I would recommend using a bit of specially made tape, that will stop you from exposing yourself. But again, this could be a perfect outfit for breastfeeding in as you can easily access your boob to feed your baby and look totally glam doing it. I always love clothing that can be breastfeeding friendly as its nice when mums can buy clothes that don’t look frumpy to feed in.

The Teagan is made from much thinner fabric which although it is long-sleeved makes it ideal for a warmer evening, especially on holidays if you’re getting to go on any this year. But it would also suit a day time in British summer weather too. Due to it being thinner, you do need some good underwear in this one. It has a ribbed design which I think is really slimming and a plus point for this jumpsuit. The belt also adds to hiding a bit of mum tum too.

You could wear either dressed up or down. Pairing the Alba with a denim Jacket and trainers would make this a day time outfit and then, changing your shoes to some heals would make this perfect for the evening. With The Teagan, like before wearing a t-shirt underneath and perhaps some ballet flats will mean this is more of a day time outfit and then swapping the top and popping on some wedges or heels will transform it again, making these jumpsuits super versatile.

Final thoughts

It might seem scary at times to think about getting back out and about, but even if you are just going to a family get together, Femme Luxe is a great brand to buy from if you want something glamorous and comfy all in one.
