[Ad-gifted] Is it officially Autumn/Fall yet? It certainly feels like it might be here in the UK! We’ve had some heavy rain on occasion and the mornings are beginning to feel a little chilly. So, what better way to keep warm outside than to be sent a little trio of goodies from Lighthouse Clothing.

When it comes to coats and outfits in the autumn it’s nice to look good and still have functionality. So, when we were asked to review Lighthouse Clothing, we couldn’t refuse.

We’ve selected three options from their collection we think would be the perfect addition to any autumnal wardrobe. Plus each of these items can be added individually to an outfit – we’ve gone for Kendal Raincoat, Coast Fleece  and Causeway Breton Top, all of which you can mix and match with what you already own!

What I thought of the Lighthouse Women’s Clothing Collection

So, I have decided to review from the inside out, starting firstly with the Causeway Breton Top – Rust Mocha Black Stripe. It’s made from 95% cotton and 5% spandex. Its soft, which makes it feel so pleasant, plus its excellent quality.

The sizing is spot on and I got a size 10 generally being that size in most stores and it fits well. My friend who is kindly modelling in the photos is also a size 10 and she felt is was a nice fit too. I love the colour combination of the top and the cut, but if you fancy an alternative colour, there are plenty of others to choose from.

For the second piece, I picked the Coast Fleece in Irish Cream colour.  I decided to order this in the size up as I wanted it to be oversized – but I have to say that the 12 isn’t as roomy as expected.  So, if you want this to be oversized I would recommend sizing up by two sizes.  That saying, I should have therefore, gone for a size 14. The main difficulty is that it’s beautifully lined, which means the sleeves are narrower, mainly around the wrist area.

The lining does make the jumper feel lovely, as its a softer fleece and catches less than the outside which is like a teddy fleece fabric. Again, the quality of the jumper is exceptional.

For the third piece, I picked the Kendal Raincoat – Forest Coat. When I unboxed the coat, the fabric surprised me as it was fully waterproof.  I was expecting it to be similar to a raincoat with rubbery fabric but instead it has a replica waxed cotton feel but made from the more waterproof polyester pongee (as waxed cotton is more shower resistant, than waterproof) and lined with a soft polyester fabric.

Considering the use of fabrics, it feels nice and has corduroy trims on the sleeves and collar, which you can spot easily once you remove the detachable hood. The colour is as described and perfect for everyday.  It has several features allowing it to take on two silhouettes, as you can wear is straight or pull on the cords on the inside giving it a waisted look. The coat also has several inside pockets and outer-pockets, so plenty of places to store your lip-balm or if you are a dog walker – poo bags!  I even tried it out in the rain and the water happily glided off the coat, so it is waterproof and true to its description.
