Our next book review and feature is none other than Quite by Claudia Winkleman. Published by Harper Collins, this is Claudia’s first-ever book and one which I am sure you will quite like. The book was sent to us with a little bottle of Baileys as well as a black eyeliner pencil which every woman needs! Quite is filled with warmth, humour, no-holds-barred attitude sharing Claudia’s observations on topics such as the importance of melted cheese, why black coats are vital, how it’s never okay to have sex with someone who has an opinion on your date outfit and why colourful clothing is only for the under 10s. Quite celebrates friendship, the power of art, the highs and lows of parenting, and of course, how a good eyeliner can really save your life. Heartfelt, wry and unmistakably Claudia, this book gets to the heart of what really matters. If you love Claudia, then keep on reading.

What I thought of the Book
Firstly, let me say that my children and I are huge fans of Claudia as we love watching Strictly Come Dancing. I remember them being so excited when they saw her life-like wax figure and the Strictly set during our visit to Madame Tussauds in Blackpool.  I personally am always in awe of her wearing nude lipstick shade and black outfits as not many people I know can pull that look off as well as her and oh…not to mention her wonderful and quirky sense of humour.
There are six chapters in the book and each chapter shares various odd things that she enjoys, detest and feels we should all follow. So there is Quite Important (to me), Quite Big, Quite True, Quite Inconvenient, Quite Bossy and Quite Opinionated (I know).
As I read each chapter, I felt as if I was in conversation with her as the topics were relevant and I got to know her better. It was almost as if I was having a cuppa with an old friend and chatting about life. I also felt I could put the book down and pick it up again after a few days without worrying about continuity or feeling like I have forgotten what I read prior.
The light-hearted book is like a doorway into her mind where she shares her words of wisdom from her life’s experiences and how she feels some of us should behave. I also picked up some fun facts about Claudia in the book such as her love for art and her need for taking a nap.
This is such a fun book to read especially if you are a huge fan of Claudia as it is not an autobiography but a book about her observations and life lessons! She just has a wonderful way of sharing her thoughts and explaining herself in an unapologetic way. She also has a wonderful sense of humour that shines through the pages and although you may not agree with all her opinions such as having only one black coat, a good pair of boots and an eyeliner, this is a book worth reading.
