Summer holidays are here!
[Ad] With kids breaking for their summer holidays this week (or next), the most important question on your mind (If you are a parent like us) is ….how do I keep them occupied during the summer holidays?
For us, we have sorted holiday clubs, a short holiday to see family, lots of walks/day trips and most importantly activities to keep them occupied at home from movies to quiet book reading days.
We love Books2Door and this has been one of our favourite online book suppliers which we have been using since 2013 when we moved to England and especially during COVID when we could not go out to purchase books directly from the stores.
So keep on reading to find out what books my children have recently picked and how you can order yours.

Why do we keep ordering from Books2Door?
Both my children love reading, they read when they wake up, they read at school, they read when they get back and they also read before bedtime. Sometimes I find it hard to get them to go to bed, but I tell myself, it is a good habit to have and I would prefer them to read for hours than to be playing video games.
Although we love going to our local library as they love discovering new authors, I also often bulk buy book sets for their birthdays, as Christmas presents or when we go on a holiday.
Books2Door offers a large range of books from toddlers to teens and my children have grown up reading many of their book sets and there is still plenty to order.
The best thing about Books2Door is their website. I love how you can easily search for the types of books you want to get from the different categories such as Bestsellers, Books by Ages, Books by Genre, Books Set (which I most often purchase), Fiction or Non-Fiction.

POSITIVES
Lockdown – During lockdown, we struggled to go to our local library, I have to say that Books2Door kept us going as it allowed my children to continue to have access to new books when we were isolating and staying at home.
Affordable – I find that books from Books2Door are affordable, there is a wide price range and I am able to pick the books based on price i.e. £1-£5, £10-£20 or more. A great way to bulk buy children’s birthday presents for their friends too wen they have a good offer.
Accessible – I find ordering online is hassle free, as I get my children to pick the books they want to read, order it and it arrives a few days later in mint condition.
Help Children’s Literacy – We have a large book review section on our blog as we at Yeah Lifestyle are avid readers and often encourage our readers to purchase books for their children to help them excel in reading, writing and imaginative play.
NEGATIVES
Buying books from Books2Door has be very tricky in my house, as my children practically want to order every single book from their website, so I often give my children a budget and they pick the books within their limit and I tell them that they can order more next time.
In this instance, we were provided a budget of £50 and my son used £20 on his 10 books, while my daughter spent almost £30 on her 6 books. Both my children shares books so I know these books will be read over and over again by both of them so well worth every pound.

How much are the books?Â

About Books2Door
Books2Door was founded in 2004 by Abdul Thada. It has grown from a one-man-band selling secondhand and remaindered books on eBay, to an award-winning online bookseller, specialising in children’s books and box sets.
Abdul was born and brought up in one of the most economically deprived areas of Leicester, UK. He’s now an advocate for children’s literacy and making books accessible to every household. Books2Door aims to introduce children from all backgrounds to the love of reading by selling premium books as a great value price.
Abdul is also the founder of Sweet Cherry Publishing, an award-winning children’s publisher dedicated to diverse, accessible stories. He has kept both of his businesses in his home city, bringing jobs to the East Midlands and helping break the book business away from its London bubble.
Books2Door is a company with a strong social conscience. We’ve donated books to refugee children at Christmas, helped rebuild a bookshop in Gaza, and donated 18,000 books to charity to celebrate our eighteenth birthday. We’re an enthusiastic supporter of World Book Day every year, a key date in the literary calendar supporting kids’ literacy.

It’s nice to see kids reading. I know the little one almost always love it, not true always with the older ones. Huge proponent of reading over here.
