Fashion Review: Peacebird Clothing – Kidswear Collection*

[Ad-gifted] When it comes to children’s clothing, I often find here in the UK that it’s pretty darkly coloured, often very much like miniature adult clothing, and not very child friendly.

Only on the odd occasion most often at places like H&M and Zara, or very sporadically at the supermarket clothing isles do I find something fun and friendly.

This is where our first Peacebird clothing review comes in. The kidswear they have on offer is so fun and child-orientated with their age ranges from ages 1 to 14, they have tried to make it feel as though kids have chosen the collections they sell – rather than it looking as though adults have picked the sorts of things they would like to wear. They have fun detailing with bears and flowers, and a range of playful and bright colours.

Some do have adult inspiration but are still clearly kidswear. Check out our review and see what my three thought of these stylised kids’ clothes.

What we thought of the Mini Peace – Peacebird Clothing we received

Looking through the kidswear on this site was wonderful. The choice of kidswear is cheerful and stylish. They have items that tend to be in subtle colours ranging from baby pink to white, to light denim blue. They also have a few black tees and the odd pop of red, green orange and yellow, but these are used as accents with the base colours as the more prominent aspects of the designs.

The kidswear for girls is cute, with puff ball sleeves and detailed oversized collars. The boy’s range has fun bears on, and others with monster logos. Alongside a huge range of soft comfy denim that is light and made not too stiff so that it wears well on our kiddie’s soft skin! I would also note that a lot of their ranges are unisex too, and you can buy from different parts of the kid’s site and mix and match the items for boys and girls. Some of the girl’s stuff is very obviously aimed to be more cute and playful, but I love the idea of picking what you like regardless of which department it’s in. My eldest did take a liking to the boy’s denim jacket, so we styled a look with her wearing it and I think she looks great!

When it came down to ordering the kids’ clothing, I wasn’t sure of the measurements in terms of age as there is no guidance on their site, but if you measure your child the sizing does appear quite accurate, and at times quite generous. I noticed this, particularly in the denim items we received – but I suppose with kids it’s better too big than too small, considering how quickly my lot seems to grow!

In the kid’s items, we have a boy’s t-shirt, denim jacket and denim loose-fit jeans with drawstring and jogger-style leg, and a girls oversized puff-ball sleeve jumper, with a detachable collar. All the children’s items are well made and made from denim that isn’t too thick, so comfortable to wear. I particularly liked the bear detailing on the boy’s T-shirt and the denim jacket as adds a fun element and is very much of the moment, with quite a few menswear brands already donning this look.
