Children’s Toy Review & Giveaway: Jazwares Frozen 2 Domez Collectibles*

Jazwares Frozen 2 Domez (pronounced Domes) figures are character collectables and these come in a whole variety of film and comic book characters. Within this review, we will be looking at the new Frozen 2 collection, in conjunction with the up and coming sequel that has recently been released.

Frozen was the first film my daughter ever went to see at the cinema. She went with her daddy as her little brother was still only a baby at this point which meant we couldn’t join them. Although for Anouk this was all the more special that she got to share this moment with her daddy! Even now my husband wells up at the songs as its created such nostalgia, and it’s truly a treasured film in our family.

The thought of the second film, Frozen 2, as you can imagine, brings so much excitement to our house. The film came into cinemas on 22 November 2019 and there are already plenty of reviews on how good it is. We really can’t wait to see it and plan to make it a full family outing during the Christmas Holidays. All of the memorable characters from the first film, including Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven will be making an appearance, but there will also be a few new characters, who we all can’t wait to get to know!

This is where our review begins; we recently received a small selection of the Frozen 2 Domez figures. As a family we weren’t familiar with Domez, but absolutely love collectables from films. Our daughter was excited to see what was inside the blind bags. We received six-packs at random. In our selection, we received Sven (the reindeer), a rare Elsa (that looks frozen with a small horse – see photos), a regular Elsa, two Annas and a new character called Mattias.

Our eldest girl, who is 10, particularly liked the look of them and thought they were cute. Each chapter comes in its own little clear case making it easy to display. She is planning to display them on her windowsill. Our two younger boys also really liked them, and actually liked to play with the. So although they are aimed at 8-year-olds – I wouldn’t be put off if you have children of a younger age, as they too will enjoy them, although I believe they are recommended for 8+ due to the fact you are unable to remove them from their casing. Which wasn’t a problem for my lot, but perhaps may frustrate and confuse younger kids.

These would make great stocking fillers for 8 to 10-year-olds that perhaps don’t enjoy playing so much with little toys anymore, but still love the characters from films they go to see at the cinema. As a parent, I am never fond of the blind bags as we three children and three bling bags, we can very often end up receiving all the same one. In our packs which we opened, we did get two Anna’s, although all the others were different and we did get a rare surprise one also, which is referred to as a Chase Character.

With the introduction of Domez into our house, it seems that now we apparently also need the Fortnight Collection and the Spiderman Into The Verse Collection! As requested by our two younger boys (who are 5 & 8)! However, when looking at all the older collection that Domez have done, it seems once the collection is discontinued from store sales they massively increased in price. So if you are a collector and you would like a new range to get your hands on, I would absolutely recommend Domez – the characters are well made and the faces are beautifully painted. They also clip together or stack, which means that you can increase your collection with more characters once you have completed your Frozen 2 collection.
