[Ad-gifted] How’s everyone doing so far?
I can’t believe how fast we are into mid-January. Hope the Christmas period was not too stressful for you with all the cooking, baking, shopping and meeting family and friends. I also hope you have not over indulged in food and drinks and if you have, then do take it slow by eating more healthy meals this month and ensuring that your drinks are low in sugar and calories.
To help you on your quest to a more relaxed and healthy lifestyle, we are sharing five fabulous items which will also make great gifts for loved ones. We start off by featuring Healthier Comfort Food Cookbook from Dairy Diary and 100% ethically driven and sustainable chocolate from FATSO Chocolates.
Taking time for yourself and doing self-care rituals is important, hence we suggest getting the Soprano Gregorian Chime from Peach Perfect Presents to help you stay calm while you meditate. Olverum’s Hand Wash and Hand Lotion is another must have item this January which is perfect for your self-care routine. Finally, we showcase ThinK’s organic and vegan Prosecco and Pinot Grigio Sparkling Rosé which tastes refreshing and delicate especially when paired with vegan, vegetarian or fish dishes.

Soprano Gregorian Chime
People often say, New Year, New You, so I am sure many of you out there have opted to start a gym membership or spending more time listening to positive affirmation podcasts this January or just enjoying some ‘me time’.
The Soprano Gregorian Chime from Peach Perfect Presents is perfect to help you experience inner calmness as you listen to the beautiful tones it creates. The chime is tuned to a medieval scale, hence it echoes the vocal music that has been sung as a part of daily devotionals and meditation in the monasteries and churches of Western Europe for more than a thousand years.  Some even believe that this music has remarkable healing powers and I can believe why as the tintinnabulation of the chimes sounds so magical and hypnotic.
The chime has an overall length of 17″ and has 8 aluminium tubes which are set off with cherry finish ash wood. You can also personalise the chime by engraving the removable wood windcatcher by sending it to an engraver/trophy shop. The chime is weatherproof, but it is recommended that it is hung somewhere out of continuous sunshine and is cleaned occasionally with a mild detergent. Priced at £30, the chime can be purchased directly from Peach Perfect Presents.
Healthier Comfort Food Book
For us January has been all about eating more healthy food, watching our calorie intake and eating vegan and vegetarian meals as we recover from the numerous indulgent Christmas dinner parties with family and friends.
To help you on your healthy eating journey, we are sharing Heathier Comfort Food from Dairy Diary to help you cook your favourite comforting mouth-watering dishes but with a healthy twist to it.
There are about 75 delicious and feel-good recipes in the book which will help you create a well-balanced meal such as Smoky Fish Pie, Bejewelled Rice Salad, Steak & Artichoke Noodles, Coconut Prawn Curry, Strawberry & Elderflower Sparkling Jellies and Mixed Berry Maple Granola Crumble.
What I love most about the book is that the food photos are just stunning and dish almost jumps out of the pages to greet me. I also love that there is a cook’s tips at the bottom of each recipe to share tips on storing and how you can change the meal to a vegetarian option.
Each recipe also has a label on the top to indicate if the recipe is is suitable for freezing, suitable for vegetarians or suitable for vegans.  There’s even space to write your own notes and a bookmark string attached to the book to help you find your recipe. The book is priced at £10.50 you can get a copy for yourself here.
Olverum Hand Wash and Hand Lotion
Our hands are important to us as they help us do so much yet they are so exposed to the elements and easily get dry or damaged, hence it is important to safeguard our delicate skin by purifying, cleaning and fortifying it with nutrients.
To help you on the quest of achieving hydrated and supple hands, we are sharing two products from Olverum. The first is the Purifying Hand Wash and the second Soothing Hand Lotion made with essential natural oils.
The luxurious soapy lather felt refreshing on my hands and the smell of essential oils was so calming. I could immediately get hints of Marjoram, Lavandin and Geranium. Next, I soothed my hands by adding the luxurious hand lotion which immediately made my skin smooth and supple.
What I love most about Olverum is that these products are crafted with 90% natural origin ingredients, they are vegan-friendly and cruelty-free. Their formula is also free from artificial preservatives, fragrance and other nasties. Their bottle are also made from 50% recycled plastic and is recyclable.
The 250ml hand wash bottle is priced at £22.50 while the 250ml hand lotion is priced at £25 and these make wonderful gifts for someone special or as a gift for yourself. You can purchase both of these from Olverum’s website.

FATSO Chocolate
When it comes to chocolate, I really love it when a brand is focused on its ethics as well as taste. Fatso make chunky, crunchy-filled dark chocolate, made from single-source cacao from the Luker Farm in Columbia. The farm is a family-run enterprise and has been in the chocolate business since the 1900s, with a focus on ethical farming and aiding the local communities that work there to have access to fair wages and good natural resources like clean water.
Fatso make some incredible flavours of chocolate, my favourite being Home Run – if you like salty-sweet and love chocolate-covered pretzels this is the one for you. But if you like nutty chocolate, you might just prefer Nan’s Stash (I love the name and box image – see the photos) – this one is filled with digestive biscuits (classic British biscuit (cookie)), toffee and peanuts. Finally, there is Morn’n Glory, the chocolate orange-flavoured one with a breakfast twist containing, Cornflakes, toast and marmalade – for a truly Paddington feel!
Not only do they taste great with honestly some of the most unique flavour combinations I have seen in chocolate bars. Two of their bars – Morn’n Glory and Home Run are vegan, which is great for gifting this month! They are in a beautiful cardboard box, which is the perfect size for posting, making it an easy gift for friends and family who perhaps aren’t local. They are reasonably priced at £6.50 for a 150g bar. So be sure to get your sweet treat this month for someone special a fantastic Fatso bar of chocolate!

ThinK Organic Vegan Sparkling Wines
We are showcasing two sparking wines from UK based company ThinK which are organic, vegan and contain low sulphites. Both the wines have reduced sugar and reduced calories and made in Treviso, north-east Italy.
The Prosecco is made from the finest Glera grapes while ThinK Pink (Sparkling Rosé) is made from the finest Pinot Grigio grapes.
Both the bottles look absolutely stunning and these bottles make such a fabulous gift for family of friends celebrating a special occasion this month. Let me start with the Prosecco. This wine tasted fresh yet luxurious and had a straw yellow colour to it with light notes of green apple and citrus. The Prosecco was light and did not feel too bubbly and is best served with fried fish, tempura vegetables or tofu .
If you, like me, love a glass of Rosé then you would love ThinK’s Pinot Grigio Sparkling Rosé as it tastes heavenly and refreshing. The wine has a light pink colour to it with delicate hints of strawberry, gooseberries and pink grapefruit. Best paired with any fish dish, vegetable tofu soup or stir-fried tofu dishes with light sauces. Another thing to note is that each serving of the wine only has 60 calories in it.
Priced at £40.99 you can purchase both these bottles (2 x 75cl) directly from ThinK here.
