What I thought of Jana Reinhardt Tiny Hummingbird Necklace?

The necklace, made from Sterling Silver (and has a 925 stamp) sits beautifully on the neck and looks extremely pretty, however, the bird is so tiny its impossible to see what it is, which I think is a shame as its so charming. I would therefore recommend taking a look at the larger hummingbird necklace, which also features a lot more detailing and craftsmen-ship in comparison to this one.

As far as I can tell each of the animal pendants available at Jana Reinhardt, has a ’tiny’ equivalent version – which I think is so great for children, but on an adult neck, they appear very small, and therefore lack the wow factor I think you will get from the larger necklaces.

This necklace has been well made, and you can see that Jana and her husband Ross have great skill and have also incorporated some unusual designs within their collections. I particularity like their Memento collection, which has an aztec feel to it.

Some other fun items include banana earrings, and one that I think will be a big person pleaser, especially one fond of cats, is the curled up cat necklace. This looks so nice, its about the size and shape of a five pence piece in the regular size (not the mini) which I always think is a great shape on your neckline.

But my most favourite item is one of their rings called My Universe Birthstone Ring, which has been designed so that you can put you and your partner’s birthstones within one ring, I found this really sweet and the design unique and quite unusual, almost Egyptian looking.

As far as the item we received, I love it as it is so pretty but a little on the small side, however, there are so many beautiful designs within the Jana Reinhardt collections that you really need to spend some time browsing. And if you like jewellery that takes a break from the norm Jana Reinhardt is definitely worth checking out.

How much does the Hummingbird Necklace cost?

It costs £89 for the silver version one we received, however, if you would like, gold, rose gold or platinum, the prices do increase considerably for the more precious metals, so check their website for the individual prices on these variations.

I feel that this price reflects the time and effort put into these exquisite pieces of jewellery, however, for an additional £5 you can get the larger necklace, as it does have slightly more detailing on the body of the hummingbird, and is larger so is easy to appreciate.

Is a co-owned company by Jana and her husband Ross Cutting, who set up the business back in 2006 (although Ross didn’t join the team until 2008). They were originally London based but then in 2012, they made the move to escape the big smoke in the City and headed for Worthing by the sea.
