Vegan and Cruelty-Free Nuud Deodorant Stick
[Ad-gifted] With the joys of summer also comes the common issue of sweaty armpits, which can be a source of discomfort and even embarrassment.  Hence we are showcasing Nuud Vegan and Cruelty-Free Deodorant Stick to try and review for the blog.
Nuud usually comes in a tube and is a natural deodorant that uses silver and zinc to combat smelly underarms. But not everyone likes the idea of deodorant in a tube and so being able to try their new stick format in some super interesting scents is what we are going to do in our latest Yeah Lifestyle blog post.
The four scents we were sent include, lime and bergamot, rosemary and geranium, orange and ginger and finally juniper and mint – they do also have an Original Unscented Nuud Stick (which is the same fragrance free version as the tube) which we reviewed a few years ago and found to be great, long lasting and successful at combating B.O!

What did we as a family think of the Nuud Deodorant Stick ?
Well firstly, my daughter said, oh wow, this is much better in a stick. She is a teen and didn’t like the idea of it being in a tube. I personally didn’t mind but it’s interesting how maybe the younger generation may prefer this stick format better.
The scents – I tried the lime and bergamot to start. It’s not particularly strong but is pleasant and zesty – which feels like a fresh smell to have. The rosemary and geranium felt as though it lent more towards the menthol edge of rosemary with a hint of floral from the geranium. The juniper and mint smelt fresh and had the coolness of the mint come through – I have no clue what juniper smells of (apparently sweet and zesty!) but it certainly smelt good and I think is probably my favourite. In a close second is the orange and ginger – which is super fruity and zesty and I get the sharpness of the ginger. I actually thought I would prefer the bergamot and lime – loving perfumes when they contain these scents but I was pleasantly surprised enjoying some of the other scents more.
In terms of effectiveness, I would say it pretty successful. I felt like I was free from smell for at least two days – I of course showered daily in between the initial application. The scents aren’t strong but if you think these are supposedly more natural deodorants, I wouldn’t expect the scents to blast out. However, I expect some people may find them a bit meek. I found them just right as I didn’t want them to take over and was happy with the freshness they provided when I popped on the deodorant. It is different to the cream deodorant and doesn’t have the longevity, but I don’t mind this, as I would rather apply my deodorant regularly.

The sticks are very eco-friendly down to the fact that they come in a cardboard tube – I liked this idea however, after a few uses the lid is difficult to put on and it all sort of gets a bit squished. I would have preferred a refill style stick, where you buy a one off dispenser and then buy your stick deodorant to pop inside, but that being said I still like the eco-conscious aspect of the box.

Unlike the fragrance free stick deodorant the four scented sticks aren’t derived from 100% natural ingredients. I am not saying this to criticise Nuud, however, I think its important to be transparent on this as many people have this as their go-to based on the fact they promote themselves as a natural brand. The ingredients seem to still be natural to a degree but without contacting Nuud directly I am not sure how they are extracted/made for them not to be 100% natural – but if you are wanting to opt for a stick that is a 100% natural be sure to get their fragrance free one in their iconic fuchsia red and white colour here.
Where can you buy your Nuud Deodorant Stickstick ?
You can get yours directly from Nuud‘s website – they have all their scents or bundles of scents available to buy as a one off or on a subscription basis.
How much are the Nuud deodorant sticks?
The sticks are priced between £11.19 – £13.99 depending on the scent (at the time of writing this blog post some scents were on offer at £11.19).

About Nuud
Nuud started back in 2017 and have been proud to develop a deodorant that combats smelly armpits via using natural ingredients like silver and zinc. They started with their iconic tube deodorant and have now expanded to include a stick version that comes in four fresh and zingy scents.
Nuud have also expanded their product range to include a soap on a rope but who knows how they will branch out in the future. They are innovative with their approach, and continue to develop their smell busting deodorant so that it carries on being a top notch iconic product.

I can’t wait to try the deodorant out. I don’t know the brand tbh but I love that the deodorant is vegan and cruelty-free, these are a must have for me. Amazing and thank you for the recos.
You are so welcome Karen, and thank you
Love the packaging on these. The ingredient combinations sound quite fun, definitely need to look out for these.
It is nice, small and compact so easy to slide into your handbag
I LOVE that this is cruelty-free. I check every single thing I buy to make sure that no tiny creature was harmed to make it.
Exactly, so important to support good brands such as this
Sounds like a great product. I will add this deodorant to my must-try products.
How lovely to hear that Marie
I heard of this deodorant, but I hadn’t tried it yet. Sounds like a great line of products! Deodorant is something that is important for me to make sure I stay away from chemicals.
Agree, and hope you are able to give this brand a try
Ooh, that lime bergamot deodorant sounds amazing! I always love learning about new deodorants in particular, I haven’t found the right one for me. I’ll definitely check this out!
Hope you do Jennifer, these make lovely gifts as well
I need to give something like this a try as I had a bad reaction to natural deodorant but want to try something new. Thanks for sharing x
Sorry to hear that, hope you can give Nuud a try and don’t get any reaction to it
I have been using natural deodorants for years now. They are aways my automatic go to. It’s a shame the only one these guys do that is 100% natural has no scent although I’d still try it.
Yes still worth giving it a go
Thanks for the honest review! I’ve been curious about Nuud for a while now, especially since I prefer cruelty free and natural products. Those new stick scents sound amazing. Orange and ginger might be the one that convinces me to finally give it a try!!
You are so welcome, some lovely scents here
Thank you for your honest review. I haven’t heard of this particular brand, I would love to give it a try. I think I will like the rosemary and geranium scent!
The scents are lovely and it is good to know that natural, nasty free options exist
I have not heard of this brand of deodorant – it’s interesting that your daughter likes it better as a stick instead of a tube! Sounds like a really good brand.
It has no nasties and no nasties, so perfect for us to use as a family

We’re looking for more eco-friendly products to switch to, and its cardbound tube is definitely worth checking. Happy to know they are effective. Thank you for the heads up about not being 100% natural. I agree with you that this is something they should be transparent about. In this case, we’re gonna go with their fragrance-free one instead.
You are so welcome, we try to do our reviews as transparent and honest as we can
