We were recently invited to head to intu Potteries located in Stoke-on-Trent to meet up with Santa and see what activities have been arranged at the mall leading up to Christmas. We as a family love heading to intu Potteries as they have always been family oriented and often organise various activities during school term holidays for the kids.  If you are a parent of young kids, you know how difficult shopping can be especially if they are between the ages of 2 and 5. Children often need breaks and some space to ensure they are allowed to have some fun and a quick play (to avoid tantrums and fatigue) before they continue shopping with mum and dad happily.  This festive season, intu Potteries again have come up with a brilliant idea to get kids involved by organising festive-themed activities such as writing a letter to Santa, meeting Santa, taking selfies at the Reindeer Sleigh, and even playing with snow all located on the Middle Mall.

intu Potteries has everything you need under its roof and is a one-stop centre as it offers delicious cafés and restaurants, cinema and big named brand shops to get your loved ones their Christmas gifts.  If you are struggling to get a present, then why not get them an intu Gift Card.  The gift card will allow them to shop at over 70 shops and restaurants and let them get the gift that they really want! Whatmore, if the gift card is purchased in November or December, both parties (the person buying the card and the person receiving it) will receive a CHILI.com film worth £5.49 each (whilst stocks last). How wonderful is that?

Hope you enjoy reading the blog to find our about the festive activities. As you can see from the photos, we certainly had a fabulous time!

Let it snow
This year intu Potteries have created a festive display on the middle mall for little ones and their families to have a little fun and experience the magic of Christmas.  Kids and those young at heart can have a bit of fun by playing with the magical festive snowfall which takes place every half an hour from 10am to 7pm, everyday until Christmas eve. As you can see above, my little girl totally enjoyed the snow and loved playing with it. It just breaks up the hectic routine of shopping especially if you shop with the little ones and you can take a break while they have a nice place around the display area.

Here comes Santa
If you are heading to the mall on weekends or the week before Christmas, remember to look out for Santa who will be making his rounds and greeting children! This would also be a good opportunity for mums and dads or grandparents and their little ones to take photos with Santa, his elves and join him in ringing his bell.  So make sure your kids have their wish lists ready. Both my kids had a lovely time meeting Santa and telling him that they have been good.

Post your letter to Santa
Why not get your kids to write a letter to Santa and post it in his post box located in the festive display on the middle mall (before Wednesday 19 December) and your kids will receive a reply from Santa as well as a free ‘Santa Stop Here’ sign (whilst stocks last). We were told that intu’s team will fly it off to the North Pole super quick, so Santa’s little helpers can get cracking with the pressies. Our kids were totally excited to meet Santa and they also rote a letter to him and surprise, surprise…in less than a week both of their letters arrived! They were totally excited when they read the letter and have stuck the ‘Santa Stop Here’ sign on their bedroom window.

Selfie sleigh
If you like us, love to take selfies..then why not take some festive themed selfies in the reindeer sleigh at the festive area outside River Island on the middle mall.  You can use this opportunity to take some fun instagrammable photos to be shared on your social networking sites such as FacebookTwitter or Instagram tagging @intuPotteries to win yourself a £100 intu Gift Card (terms and conditions apply).
