Mother’s Day Review of Two BoutiqueGifts Products*

When it comes to Mother’s Day gifting for your mum, mama, mom, maman, mor or however you may call that one special lady in your life, beautiful and simple gifts can be hard to find. BoutiqueGifts have some subtly personalised and chic gifts, on their online store, that just might make your mum smile! Personalised gifting has become more and more popular over the years, but equally noticeable is the variety of gifts available. Each place offering slightly different items, which means you there are some interesting finds, depending on which brand of gift store you go to.

With BoutiqueGifts, you’ll find a great choice of giftware for mum’s (and dad’s), that are a little bit different to brands we have previously reviewed. I found their collection to include few novelty items, and more classier gifts. Like many personalised gifts, BoutiqueGifts collection is extremely usable, and have a really special feel about them. What I thought of BoutiqueGifts items received

The items sent by BoutiqueGifts were a Courtney Leather Handbag in mint green, and Brown Leather Gloves. Each item personalised with an embossed initial,  directly onto the leather. The items arrived in a medium sized cardboard box, and were perfectly encased in soft tissue paper with a branded sticker sealing it together. This was the perfect presentation, and means ordering your gift from them you wouldn’t need to worry about additional wrapping.

When I opened the gifts, the first thing I noticed was the quality of the leather. The bag, which I would describe as a grab bag, or clutch bag, was so soft and the soft subtle muted mint colour was perfect, not garish in any way, but definitely has a chic feel to it. Other colours available in the handbag include, stone, grey, black and coral (which I have to say would have been my second choice). Equally, the same can be said about the leather gloves, they are soft and well made, with a lining inside for extra warmth, and make the perfect personalised gift.

I chose to have the pieces embossed with just one initial, signifying a last name, but you can incorporate both initials of your mother’s or loved ones name is you so choose to. With certain items, you are able to choose whether they are embossed with no colour, or with either gold of silver within the embossed area. I chose a colour with the handbag, however, I unwittingly chose silver, thinking it would work well with mint, not realising the zips are gold, but I think it still looks great regardless. This is something to note when you are ordering, that the zip colours aren’t changeable and therefore, you may want them to match with your embossed initial.

The items are classy, and although they are personalised, its not obvious, creating a subtle and unique gift for someone who you would like to make feel special. Other gifts on the site that stood out, included a wooden tea chest that can be engraved with a name and small message, and a glass chopping board with the ability to house a photograph that is personal to you or the person you are gifting it to. In all the personalised gift reviews, I have never seen these kind of items, nor the Handbag or Gloves that we received, which is all the more reason to head to BoutiqueGifts to find your perfect Mother’s Day treats.
