We are doing more tweaks to our home as we face #lockdown3 and are now working on our hallway. We have a large wall next to our stairs which has been bare for some time now so decided to decorate with Desenio Wall Art Prints to give the space some character and make it more contemporary looking. We decided to order a selection of Oak wood frames as well as some stunning landscape prints to adorn our walls.
The frames and prints arrived pretty quickly from the time we placed the order and undamaged in a box. We ordered a total of five 40cmx50cm frames, two 13cmx18cm frames as well as two 21x30cm frames, all Oak wood frames. As I was browsing their website I noticed that Desenio has many different styles of wall art so I decided to order landscape and nature-themed prints to go with my wood frames as these are timeless. Keep on reading to find out what we thought about Desenio, their frames and their prints.
The oak wood frames were light and the clips behind the frames were fairly easy to unlock/move. My husband added the prints in and realised that we had to remove the protective plastic which protected the plastic perspex. If you are wondering, perspex is actually an acrylic sheet which is now becoming a fashionable alternative to mineral glass. The perspex comes with a protective sheet on each since which means the perspex is kept scratch free and looks perfect when you have added the prints.
We found was that due to the oak wood frames being light, we could use the wall hook sticker instead of drilling nails on our walls. This meant, we could later change the location of the frames without worrying about replastering the wall. As you can see in the photo below, the frames come with a metal hook placement to hang the frames. To help you visualise your wall, you could, like us, cut up paper and manually draw the design up which will take up a lot of time or head to Desenio’s website to create your own Gallery Wall using their gallery wall tool. Their tool gives you options to choose a background wall, add frames, images and design suggestions which will help you visualise the walls and designs a lot quicker and better.
What did we think about it?
I found their website easy to use and picking the artwork was fairly quick, the items arrived in record time and we were able to get the frames hung on the wall in a weekend. We used hook stickers to hang the frames which took 24 hours to dry. My husband used measuring tape and levels to ensure the picture frames were all straight when hung. The prints were printed on high-grade quality paper and the image so beautifully stands out.
Supporting companies which are vegan, organic or cruelty-free as well as sustainable is always my top priority. Hence, I was happy to discover that Desenio is an FSC® certified company, which means that the trees used in their production of art prints are harvested in a responsible way that provides environmental, social and economic benefits for everyone involved.

How much are the frames and prints and where can I buy it?
The frames are available from size 20cm x 30cm to 70cm x 100cm and prices for these range from £8.95 to £34.95. I have chosen Oak wood frames which are priced at £24.95 ( 40xm x 50cm), £9.95 (21cm x 30cm) and £4.95 (13cm x 18cm) each. You can also choose metal frames or Danish Moebe frames if you prefer that.
Prices for the prints vary according to your preferred size, I ordered five of the following prints to fit my 40cm x 50cm frames and these were priced at £16.95 each. The prints were of good quality and came printed in a matte premium paper. Produced in Sweden, the prints are printed on age-resistant paper.
