Lonely Planet Epic Van Trips of Europe

What my dad and I thought of the Lonely Planet Epic Van Trips of Europe
This is a fairly big hard back book, so won’t be something you actually travel with, however, within the book are pages on different trips you can take when travelling in your van/camper.
This is a well detailed book with guides on the travel distance, starting and finishing points of the trips, and number of days recommended, however, the book felt at times a little confusing due to it not going from country to country and instead starting with Southern Europe and covering several countries within that. Although if, like me, you find it easy to identify the journeys by country rather than area, you can go to the back where there is an index (by country),
The book is filled with beautiful photographs of stunning places you can visit across Europe including, Italy, Slovenia, Slovakia, Latvia, Norway, Montenegro, Poland, Spain, and Belgium amongst just some. I was very surprised though that it only covered one place in France. So if you are looking to travel there I would opt for Lonely Planet Best Road Trips – France which has 38 places to visit. However, this van trip guide will have you covered for almost everywhere else in Europe.
The book looks a places that are filled with wonderful architecture, as well as lakes and natural parks that will be your guide to the most unmissable views. You will also be shown charming towns and forests, as well as waterfalls and points of historical interest. There are places that will captivate all manner of interests and have you wanting to pack up and get on the road to some fantastical adventures.

I have heard of Lonely Planet but never got my hands on one! I still like doing things the old school way instead of relying solely on technology, so I truly appreciate this book review.
My husband and I like road trips, but destinations in Europe is a whole new ball game! I love that there are beautiful photos and grouping of destinations by architecture, parks, cute towns etc.
