Christmas Gift Guide – Gifts for Kids*

So Magic Terranium – Under the Sea

If you have a child that loves craft but wants something they can keep enjoying then this So Magic Terrarium Under the Sea is a great little toy. The toy consists of a little terrarium (which is a sealed transparent cylinder), and everything you need to make a (in this instance) mini coral display. It has the effect of glittery rock but comes as a powder that you simply add water to. Follow the instructions in the box on how to mould them around your little display to make a cute 3D rockery that grows. It takes approximately 12h for the growing to complete, which means that then you can carry on enjoying your final DIY masterpiece by popping it into the clear cylinder and placing on a shelf of your home.   What is great about this So Magic Toy by Canal, is that it isn’t just a toy, it involves either time with your child helping them to make it, or a task for your little one to trial out alone. They can follow the instructions and really feel accomplished once they have completed the process! Cook & Serve Set – Hape

We just adore the children’s toys from Hape and have reviewed many of their products previously on our blog. This time, we are super happy to feature their Cook & Serve Cooking Set which will be perfect as a Christmas gift for little ones.  The set comes with a wooden pot and lid, a pan, two plates, two sets for knife and fork as well as a salt and pepper set and 2 ladles to mimic actual cooking.  This is a great set if you have little ones who love to do what you are doing in the kitchen. Hannah the Spanner and the Polar Bear

Once you start reading the first Hannah the Spanner books (there are 6 others), you will want to read them all as they are fun and kids love the attractive illustrations inside the book.  Published by StuHead Publishing, this book has 56 pages and measures 26cm x 26cm with words that are clearly printed with fun styled fonts and good spacing in between.  Easy for little hands to hold, the book which has just been released this month in time for Christmas, is about the adventures of Hannah and her friends as they cope with grumpy parents, sick reindeer and some strange goings-on in the back garden.
