I know for most of us it feels bittersweet, but for the special mums’ in our lives, whether that be for mum, an aunt, Godmother, life long family friend… it is always nice to show these special ‘mothers’ how we feel about them and how special they are.  This is where our latest review of Mindful Gifting fits in as they produce gift boxes containing a variety of specially selected items that are perfect for that feel-good moment when you receive a surprise present. What I thought of the Mother’s Day Gift Ideas – Mindful Gift Box 

We were sent a box filled with some beautifully thoughtful items inside, including a book about sleep, two individually wrapped Pukka speciality tea bags, a vanilla lip balm, some lavender roller oil, a small hand-cream, a selection of individual pamper products, bath salts and a little bag to pop all your items into. All these items are a great size, many perfect to pop in your handbag. The book is hard backed and also small enough to keep on your bedside table.

I won’t discuss each individual item per-say, as each box you receive, will contain a slightly different selection of items. But within my box, I loved the selection that was included, each of the items complemented each other. You had the book about sleep, orientated around the importance of sleep and ways we can find solutions to the sleep problems many of us suffer with, the lavender roller, which of course is great to use to relax you.

The lip balm and hand cream, which are again ways in which we can pamper and relax. Equally the tea, which was orientated around bedtime and sleeping well, and finally the bath salts which are a great way to revive you after you have finally managed that much needed good nights sleep.

What’s lovely about some of the beauty products within the gift box, is that most were made by small companies here in the UK, which is a great way of supporting small independent businesses without having to visit them yourself, which of course is pretty impossible at the moment. I think giving gifts like this is a great way to show how much your thinking of your mum during lockdown, that focuses on her wellbeing as well as being a gorgeous treat.

I also love how fun this box was to open, as you weren’t sure which items you’d get, which meant it was exciting to see what you’d find. The items are good quality and although most were small and individual, ( a bit like you might find for an overnight stay in a hotel), seem just the right amount and remember you can get this gift, knowing that what is inside will be thoughtful, so although you haven’t chosen each item yourself you can be sure someone else has taken the time to make it just right.   Here’s an unboxing video of the mindful gift box.
