My 10-year old daughter, Madeline is no different! After months of homeschooling and hardly seeing her friends, we have had the green light to send her back to school this week. Teen Calm is the brainchild of 14-year-old Freya and her mum Cathy aimed at teenagers from having to pretend they are OK when they are not. This box is also perfect for anxious teens, those with ASD/ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence as well as for anyone who needs their confidence lifting and a little reminder that they’re not alone. My daughter received a box aimed at girls aged 8 to 12-years old, she did not know in advance what she was going to receive so it was wonderful to see her face light up when she opened her box. Now, your box might consist of totally different items but this is what my daughter’s box contained. A Unicorn themed notebook, colour pencils, Banana Blast face mask, bead bracelet set, fidget spinner, aromatic stress dough ball with essential oils, sweets, motivational card and sticky note-pads.
What did my daughter think of her Teen Calm Box?
Firstly, thank you, Cathy and Freya for the Teen Calm Box. I loved it and all the things inside made me happy. The first thing which I picked up was the Magic post-it- note pad, I like the design and this is going to come in handy for my English lessons. I love colouring and I love Unicorns so the Keep Calm and Colour Unicorn Book was the perfect thing to put inside the Teen Calm Box. What I liked most about it is that every page has a picture which I can colour as well as a positive thought to keep me going like ‘Know and Believe in Yourself and What Others Think Won’t Disturb You’ by Willam Feather. The colouring pencils were also a great addition. I liked my bead bracelet and the Mohdoh (aromatic dough infused with essential oils) which smells really nice. I have kept this in my room so I can squeeze when I need to relax. I really loved the banana face mask, it made my face feel soft but I only wish there was more than 1 pack inside. The last thing in the Teen Calm Box which I love is the light-up Fidget Spinner. I have a Fidget Spinner at home but this one is special as it glows in the dark. I think it looks amazing as the colours mix together making an exquisite pattern at it spins. I think this is a great box for other young girls like myself.
