Cordless Vacuum Review : Anti Hair Wrap Hoover
[Ad-gifted] Well, it’s nearly spring and what do lots of us think about after the winter has subsided…you guessed!! Spring cleaning!! Ha! I say this, I think about it with so much enthusiasm in the winter.
I imagine how much I am going to clear out and where I am going to try to freshen up the house, all of which I don’t really end up doing because it all seems like too much hassle. But when you want to make it easy to just get an odd cobweb or give the floor a quick wipe, Hoover have a foolproof gadget that is handy as well as perfect for those quick moments where you want to try to attempt a spring clean!
The Hoover Cordless Vacuum Cleaner with Anti Hair Wrap – HF4 Hydro is our latest review where we will be showcasing each function including a floor cleaning option, handheld and standard upright.
I have seen steam cleaners with several functions but never got my hands on a vacuum that also has a floor clean option – other than the huge carpet-cleaner-style vacuums, which always feel a bit heavy. This vacuum is cordless hence much easier to transport so keep reading to find out more about my latest review.
What I thought of the Cordless Vacuum Anti Hair Wrap Hoover – HF4 Hydro
Firstly the unboxing was crazy, there were so many little boxes that I had to make sure that I had fully opened everything so nothing was missed off! The bonus with the packaging is everything is recyclable, which I thought was great and rare, as you tend to always find the odd plastic wrapper – but not here! The vacuum then took 3 hours and 30 minutes to fully charge, which I did overnight. It doesn’t overcharge, as once it’s reached its maximum charge it turned itself off. A good feature to have.
The vacuum is easy to piece together, with everything being fairly self explanatory. You clip each section into the next and then to release it you press the release button. Equally, emptying the dirt is just as easy. You just press the release button and hold it with the bin. The vacuum doesn’t stand up on its own but does have a bracket that can be attached to the wall – so when not in use you can pop it on the bracket. I plan to put mine in the cupboard where we keep our corded vacuum cleaner.

As well as working well in its upright position as a floor vac, you can also make this a small handheld, which I found handy for use on the sofa, to remove any crumbs and bits that gather. You could also use this function in the car. Which for us is a great feature, as we have a very long driveway with no plug access, so having something that is cordless is essential.
We also have a bird who seems to enjoy throwing seeds around the living room, so a cordless vacuum is super handy as it is easier to grab for a quick clean up. I also found it lightweight enough to lift up and get the cobwebs from the ceiling – I would struggle doing this as easily with my corded vacuum cleaner.

The floor cleaning function is a great added bonus to an already very useful cordless vacuum. The only thing I would say, before I get down to the review of this aspect of the vac, is that the picture instructions are confusing. Although I can use a bit of common sense, I generally tend to read instructions to ensure I am using a product accurately and unfortunately its very hard to tell with picture descriptions. Just a point to note, you can only use the floor cleaning function on hard floors and not on carpet.
From a price point perspective, this is a high end product coming in at £299 but it has both the mop/floor cleaning function and vacuum, so it makes it a two in one. I was dubious how to how the mop would function. According to their website “Just add water and a capful of detergent to the tank, then press the button to start mopping. A foot pedal allows you to control the amount of water being released. After use, the mop pads can be cleaned by hand or in your washing machine.” I tried it on my bathroom floor – its a white non-slip tile that can be a pain to mop. The mop function worked ok on the non-slip floor of the bathroom. It managed to clean up dirt from shoes being left on and it also worked on my smooth kitchen tiles as well.

I think that this is a good second vacuum cleaner, it’s great for removing cobwebs and in the case of our house, bird seeds. And it being cordless means you can just pull it out and turn it on rather than having to find a plug socket. I am also likely to leave it on the mop attachment function as I liked how handy it is to use. I would highly recommend this Hoover Vacuum if you live in an apartment with lots of hard floors, as I think it would be able to show off all its plus points in this kind of space.
I would also recommend having the charging cable near to the bracket where you hang it, that way, you can charge it when you have the vacuum tidied away. I will definitely be doing this with mine so that it’s charged whenever I need to use it. All in all, a great cordless vacuum with the added bonus of the mop function. It has generally good suction and is lightweight enough to reach ceilings. The charge time lasted well too which allowed me to use it over several days and still mop my whole kitchen. About Hoover
Well, as you may well know Hoover is a longstanding brand and has been manufacturing upright vacuum cleaners since 1908. It was started by William Henry Hoover who bought the patent for the electric suction sweeper and then went on to develop it into the suction sweeper that everyone could buy. Making cleaning much easier on a day-to-day basis.
By 1919 it had crossed the pond via Canada and became so popular in the United Kingdom and Ireland that the term “hoovering” was soon adopted as the term for vacuum cleaning your home. By 1932 it had another set of headquarters based in the UK and its success continued.
William Henry Hoover died back in 1932, but his legacy lives on through a multitude of other products, and off-shoot brands like Candy, which also makes washing machines and other white goods.
